Is there anywhere to see what's on the menu when lunch is included with a shore excursion?

Is it typically local cuisine? Is it fancy/gourmet? Are there "plain" options for picky eaters (adults & kids)?

Looking at some of the adventures on the Mediterranean cruise and trying decide between all-day options that include lunch or shorter excursions and eating back on the ship...

Sometimes in the "more information" link it will say what is typical in the lunch offering.

They are usually local food, without many or even any choices. Sometimes, you'll get a buffet, but it will certainly not be american food and there usually isn't "plain" options available. If it is a concern, you should stay away from those excursions. You never know what you'll get.

We've found that most times the lunch available, while being called "local" food, is really a US-styled version of local food. Often not as spicy. And there's usually been a basic fruit/salad option.
