Does anyone know if there is any sort of Mardi Gras celebration at the Port Orleans French Quarter? We just extended our trip so we leave on Ash Wednesday just in case. Thanks for any info.

They do a small parade that everyone can join in and they pass out coins and beads, and I seem to remember they had some mask making activities for kids. That's all I can remember!

I do too. When we were there the first week of March 2003, we didn't know about these things and only caught them by chance. Next year we're PLANNING to do them.
