PORFQ May 15, Day 5: Where'd all these School Bands come from? Is it April?

Woke up about 9am, put on bathing suits and went for breakfast in the Food Court (another first). I had pancakes, nice and fluffy; but the syrup was yucky; to me anyway. ST had a ham & cheese omelet and a side of bacon. He said it was very good. I tried the scrambled eggs since I didn’t like my pancakes. Those were very good! We went to hang out at the pool for a while. In between I did laundry and picked up our pictures that we dropped off yesterday at the General Store in FQ. $83 dollars later and we had nice pics and matching CD’s! Wow. The on-site developing company gives out 1 free character photo for each roll developed. After this round of developing is when I discovered the disposable camera with the free CD from Kodak for a $1.00 more. So I got those from now on. We hung out at the pool/resort until about noon, took showers and headed off to DD to the AMC Theater to see Van Helsing. This was planned as something we wanted to do before we left for Disney, but after watching this I don’t think it was such a good movie choice for viewing in Disney. Too much blood and gore for being in the most magical place in the world. We should have seen something more upbeat I think. I was kinda bummed after the movie. It was long. Good, but long. After the movie, we took the bus to FQ, then to MK because we changed our minds mid-bus. I wanted to see Spectro Magic parade, which I have NEVER seen. DS doesn’t like parades. I forced him to sit through the Snow globe parade last year. Lolol First we went to Peco’s Bill’s. I disliked the burger, but liked the chili cheese fries. It was very crowded today. Yes, I know. Never go to MK on a weekend. But we didn’t expect to see all those school bands there! They were supposed to be there in April, not May!!! Where did they come from way??? There were tons of school children there from all over the place in their school colors. There was barely room to walk around. So we headed for Main Street and did some shopping on our way out of MK. I didn’t get to see the Parade. Again. Maybe someday. We just hung out at FQ, went swimming. The pool was finally warm! It had been freezing until now. I guess someone told them and they turned up the heat in the pool. (Thank you whoever you were). We went back to the room and lay in beds and watched TV. I guess I was really, really tired. I fell asleep before 10pm and DS shut off the TV himself and went to sleep too. I asked him in the morning if I turned off the TV and he said, “No sleepyhead, you fell asleep”. =)
