This is budget related because I don't want to buy new cushions for my porch furniture! Last summer I got some great porch furniture for my screened in porch.:lovestruc It is now warm and good "porch sitting" weather but the cushions are dirty..... mostly pollen. So my question is how do you clean polyester filled outdoor furniture cushions and pillows. I am looking for budget ideas, of course! TIA for helping me with spring cleaning!! Counting on dis folks...you always have the best advice!!

My sister had some outdoor cushions reupholstered recently in sunbrella fabric. She was told to throw the cushions in her pool when they needed cleaning.

If its just pollen I would hose them off and let them dry before putting them back on your furniture. Easy peasy! If they are soiled, you could scrub them down with soapy water and a scrub brush, then hose them off and allow to air dry.

Make sure NOT to use laundry detergent as this will dry the fabric out. Use a light soap and water if needed... even handsoap

I second hosing them off and letting the dry out before you use them. Make sure they dry completly so you don't have mold.

I had pollen and white mildew- I used my spray bottle of [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Woolite Pet Stain Remover which i use for carpets- sprayed on lightly on one side and then wiped with a damp wash cloth. I sprayed the other side and washed the cloth out in sink and then went back and wiped the other side- worked great!

Thanks for the tips everyone! Now to get motivated to do it!
