We had room 2723, which I felt was in the middle of everything. The food court was a 2-3 minute walk, the bus 3-5 and the pool 3-5. The grounds and landscaping are so beautiful you don't realize the walk. It was so calming in the morning to walk by the river to get breakfast. It was a little cool in the mornings we were there, and the mist was rising off the river it was so tranquil.
Bldg 14 is the closest to the food court, but everyone must walk by some part of the building to get to where there are going. I would also recommend a second floor room. We had a first floor and there were several instances where people were checking in late/out early and could hear their rolling suitcases above our heads, or the luggage being banged up and down stairs.
Oak Manor is currently closed for renovations if you wanted the mansions.
No matter which part you stay in, you'll have a great time.
