We are staying here for the first time this August. I am getting really nervous after reading about the bad bus service. I'm actually considering switching resorts. I can't afford a deluxe this year. Has anyone had good bus service here? thanks:confused3

10 days in the fall. NEVER had a problem. Sometimes we shared with POFQ and sometimes we didn't. Lots of trips on those buses over the 10 days and perfectly satisfied. :thumbsup2

Spent 2 weeks there, only had 2 issues with the busses, and they were not really problems with the busses per se. More so with the fact that there is no clear division between busses at different stops. There are 2 shelters, and multiple busses come to each.

At the same time, we also had awesome bus experiences, like being able to take either the POR or FQ bus home, meaning when leaving a park we never had to wait more then a couple minutes.

Also had a bus driver, when we took the bus to FQ, offer to drive us up to POR after he let everyone off at FQ ...

I too was nervous after reading all the reviews. I can't compare it to the other resorts, as we had a vehicle our first stay.

But, we had absolutely no problem with the POR busses. My husband is sitting beside me saying what? problem with busses? What are they talking about? It was great.

Only long wait was after Wishes on a non recommended park day - which we expected. Other than that, we really enjoyed not having to drive.

We were really impressed using the Disney busses at POR. I really wouldn't let that affect your decision. For the difference in price, if you needed to take a cab a few times you would still be ahead.

We loved POR. I wouldn't stress too much about the busses.

We stayed two different times in April and had absolutely no issues with the buses. One time we took the POFQ bus so we could walk around the resort & then took the boat to POR.

We stayed last October and had no problems at all. Have fun!!

Same here, I was really worried about the buses but last October we had no problems at all. We were in Oak Manor and walked across the bridge every morning to the S. Depot and same back to our room at night.

We've never had a bus issue. We've been in October just before Halloween and just this last Dec 15-22 and had zero issues. Granted at MK after Wishes, etc., prepare for crowded buses unless you leave before Wishes is over. THAT is a no brainer. BUT since POR is so large, they had 2 POR buses waiting and one POFQ bus. We had a car as well, but always took the bus to MK. We drove to the other parks. However, I spoke to many other resort guests and they said the same thing, what problem? We stayed in Oak Manor and got on the main depot near the General store and got off at the East Depot in the evening. If staying Riverfront you are obviously not as close to the parking lots, etc., but that's Riverfront!

If you plan appropriately, you will not have an issue. Obviously, EMH days the buses will be running earlier and likely full at first, but another comes along quickly. They do load ECV's first, just know that.
