POR vs POFQ

out of these two, which one do you like better and why?

I'm curious too, as we're trying to decide between the same two resorts. Any suggestions as to what rooms are good too?

I booked POFQ as it sounds smaller and more compact however I like the look of POR more.

I stayed at POR for our honeymoon and loved it!!!!! We did a little resort hopping on the last day and went to POFQ and thought it was cute too! I think if you are looking for something romantic, pick POR. If you have children going, then POFQ. I just think POFQ is more themed toward children.

We like both resorts - however, our rule of thumb is if we have family (kids) along, we'll opt for POR and if only my DW and I, we go for POFQ (smaller, quieter, etc.). We'll be at POFQ 12/28-1/1 before moving to SSR.

We loved POFQ because it's much smaller. We especially liked the food court. I think we ate 4 of our CS meals there last time in Dec 05 on the DDP. The pool area is nice and the laundry is right there so we could put a load in and then go over to the pool. We had diner at ther Boatswright on our first night and we were really not that impressed. We ternd to like the smaller places and were VERY happy with POFQ.

We just got back from POFQ at the end of Aug. It was our first time there and we would go back in a heartbeat. I love the smaller size of the resort. It was sooo convenient to be able to walk to everything within a matter of minutes. It also seems less crowded. It was nice to come back to a quiet/peaceful resort after a long day at the park.

We walked over to POR one evening and although I really like the look of POR, it is a very, very large and spread out resort. We do enough walking in the parks, it would wear me out to have to walk that far for breakfast, refilling mugs, etc. although it would be a very pleasant stroll. The grounds at POR are beautifully landscaped (sweeping lawns, large shade trees). It was also very crowded while we were walking there. The main pool was packed and there was definitely a hustle/bustle atmosphere around the main building/restaurant area.

I prefer POR. We really missed the quiet pools when we stayed at POFQ. If you like to swim and go during peak season (we were at POFQ during xmas week) I would not suggest POFQ. With only one pool that seems small anyway, it gets so crowded. I also preferred the grounds and the spread out feel of POR. It is large but we actually liked walking from our far out room in AB to the main area.

POFQ does have an edge with the buses though. Both resorts share buses and POFQ is the first to be picked up and dropped off.
