POR vs CBR

Why is POR and FQ more than CBR if they are both moderates? I'm talking like $500-$600 more for the week of June 2-9th with annual passholder discount?

Okay part of it is that there are not standard rooms available at POR or FQ, but still...

But POFQ is a small resort, and I think folks like that..... fewer rooms could mean slightly higher prices standard room, anyway.....

Port Orleans was recently renovated with queen beds instead of doubles.

EDIT: This isn't it because rack rate is the same for both.

It's also possible that the AP discount is smaller for Port Orleans for some reason.

Supply and demand. If the rooms at POR/POFQ are more fully booked than CBR, then they can command a higher price.

We made our June Reservations way back in Dec. We tried to reserve POR(one standard room) but it wasn't available for our week. So I am guessing a high demand because of the renovations We went with CBR. We are excited still because we haven't stayed at CBR since June 2007. We had a good time in 2007. Plus a bonus we received a 30% off pin code.

We recently booked a last minute trip and the 4 mods were all different prices. FQ was the most by far ($200 a night), then POR ($160), then CBR ($140) and then CSR was the least ($130). We chose CSR. I'm guessing the difference was because the discounted rooms were already sold out at the PO resorts.

It used to be that you could get a really great discount at FQ even last minute, but that is no longer the case.

Right there (bolded). No standard rooms at the PO resorts means you are being quoted a price for an upgraded room there, where at CBR you were quoted the lower price for a standard room. It's all a question of resort popularity and availability.

i think even with the AP discount, CBR was more discounted than POR/POFQ at least that's what I remember seeing when we booked our trip for 5/31-6/6. I noticed even with the GP room only discount for the Spring, certain resorts were more discounted than others.
