Anyone recommend a good tour company to go with? We want to go to the beach for a day while down there and do not want the hassle of driving on our vacation. Well, more so my hubby, I think it would be an adventure!

So, I have read about some out there where I just googled and not too impressed...any tips, suggestions???

Please and thank you!:thumbsup2

I hate to say it, but if you want to do this you should probably rent a car. It'll be more relaxing to not have a schedule and you will have fleibility to eat when and were you want and stay as long as you'd like.

I'd also say that Clearwater is a fine beach. But Sanibel island is really awesome. If you have kids who want to collect shells that is the place. It's further, quite a bit, but well worth it.

Just came from the Tampa area and loved Sand Key beach, right near clearwater. Also enjoyed Fort DeSoto.

sorry, don't know of any tour companies, but renting a car and GPS for a day would probably be your best bet. It's not a complex area to navigate.

Oohhhh, I love Fort Desoto. It's one of our favorite spots to head to when we go to Tampa to visit my son and his wife. It really is worth it to rent a car to get over to the gulf coast..it's so beautiful.
