How crowded would we be? It is myself, DH, and 3 DD's (11, 9, & 8). My youngest will use the trundle, she is extemely small for her age. We plan to be at parks 4 days and leave 2 days for swimming, Downtown Disney and anything else that interests us. I'm sure we will relax some in the room.

On the other hand we have been offered thru my sisters timeshare the Sheraton Vistana a 2b/2b "room" with full kitchen. It is 400$ less than POR, but I don't know if the 400$ is worth off-site. :confused3

The extra room would be nice, but how has this worked for others. This is the nicest resort that fits our budget. My kids are definately looking forward to the waterslide.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think how crowded the room seems depends upon how much time you plan on spending in the room and how well your children (DH included) get along.

Last summer we had 5 in a POR room and it was only crowded due to the fact that there was a hurricane going on and no place to go. The rooms are standard size (think hampton inn) and a double sink definately helps. We had DS (17) share his bed with the littlest one and DD got the trundle which she loved.

We loved POR and wouldn't hesitate to book there again. The themed pool was to die for. There are numerous smaller pools throughout the complex. The dining hall is awesome with the "water wheel/mill" turning both outside and inside the hall. The food is good, busses plentiful & noise level was low.

We've never stayed at POR with 5, but have stayed with two adults and two teens, and had plenty of room. However, we don't typically spend alot of time in the room.

We stayed at the Vistana one year, and it is very nice and very spacious, but we hated being offsite, and wouldn't do it again. There is so much more to do at POR, and the Disney transportation system is invaluable.

We stayed at POR last year for 7 nights. Dh and I. DS 5,5,and 7. We were not cramped. We did not spend alot of time in our room though. I think it would fine.

We had our family of 5 last year. The kids were 11, 8 and 4. My 4 year old thought the trundle was pretty cool. It was a tight fit but it's a nice resort and a reasonable price so I would defiinitely stay there again. I requested a corner room so we would have 2 windows. That gave me a feeling of it being a little more open and not quite so cramped. There are double sinks so that helped. I will also say we had just been at the Beach Club where the rooms were a lot bigger so that made the POR seem even smaller.

It really is a great resort. I would recommend you stay there.
