Hi,
We are considering switching from POFQ to POR Royal Rooms.
Only issue is location and distance from main pool, food, and buses.
When I look at the map, Pricing no issue, how should I bookd a royal room to guarentee be near the above?
I was thinking pool view.. as this is between Oak and Parterre? Worst would be the furtherst in Parterre. Or should I book river and request Oak???

This issue is we normally love POFQ due to its compact size. My mom is VERY slow and it would be exhausting to walk 10/15 each way to get to main pool/food and back. She can walk long distances, but it's a pain when its only for coffee etc...

I posted this over in the POR thread. Parterre is furthest away from the Main pool, but there is a lovely quiet pool quite nearby. There is a 2nd footbridge right at Parterre that goes right by registration and the boats. I didn't think it far, but I didn't have any mobility issues. You have to cross a bridge from any of the mansions to get to the food court.

Parterre is nicer aesthetically but its the biggest hike to the main building and main pool, especially. It is, however, the closest to POFQ if you plan to walk over there. Personally, I would request Oak Manor just to be closer to the main pool.

My personal opinion is to keep POFQ. We stayed at both POFQ & POR (in a royal room - Partierre Place) last year.
If walking is a concern, keep POFQ. It was a longer walk to the bus stops and restaurants at POR and to me, not worth it. The Royal Room was great but we preferred the compact size of FQ.
