Can you see fireworks from anywhere in the resort? It would be nice if we could.

How likely is it to get an upgrade during the summer months. I booked the standard room (with trundle) hoping to get upgraded to water view when we get there. Is this pretty likely? We will be arriving between 11:00 and 12:00 in the morning.

Is there any building I should say no way to, due to noise? I keep reading to request AB 14, 15 or 18, but I haven't read anything about any buildings not to request.

Also, how is the noise level from the surrounding rooms? My dd (3) is a very light sleeper, and I want to make sure she wakes up as little as possible. But if she does, she can get pretty loud sometimes. I don't want her to wake others as well. Therefore, I want an upstairs room, and I am going to request a corner room. But I want to be prepared if we don't get it.

And lastly, did anyone do any comparisons of the Summer Saver package? I booked with that, and if you take off the CURRENT price of the airline flights we booked, it comes out around 1550.00 for 7 nights with the ultimate hopper passes. I think that is a good deal, but have no barometer for it.

I don't know a thing about AB. I can tell you that at times the flushing of the potty would wake me and I am a light sleeper. We have stayed in the mansions several times and we always had aa top floor. It may be the top floors are noisy I can't say. I think that you got a great price. I have tried to get a discount for July 30 and have been having no luck. The codes expired before my Dh decided he wanted to go see Mickey again. The lowest price I have gotten this past week is $154 a night without passes. The 4 day paark hopper is still $196.10 with the DC and since we have been to DW several times I think we will just get a 4 day PH and see what else we want to do while we are there. I think my children would love to go for 10 hours at DQ and I would be happy to hang out at the pool for the day.

We have found the inner courtyard rooms(standard), mansions, upper floor to be VERY quiet. Never heard a peep, and you can turn on the A/C unit for some white noise. I think the waterview sides are noisier in the mansions as they face the walkways that many use. As far as waterview in AB they may very well face a quiet pool and that would NOT be quiet IMHO. I would just request in your fax for an upper view, AB, quiet location. I do think the numbers you requested are close to the foodcourt and passed by many. In fact we walked that way and I thought the rooms further away would be quieter! Hope you enjoy:) !

To be honest with you, I don't think the water view room is worth the extra money. We booked it one year, and our room faced a quiet pool. There are no balconies, so you'll be standing on an outside walkway in order to see the water. We spent very little time in our rooms - early morning and late at night - and could really care less about the view from our room.

As for quiet rooms...we have always stayed in the bayou...and we've never had problems with noise. There have been times that I've wondered if we were the only ones in our building. On our last trip, we were in Building 18 and a first floor room. Our building was set back from the main path and it was very quiet. We've had great luck, but I'm sure there's always the chance that you'll get a noisy neighbor or unruly kids hopping around on the floor above you.

You'll love this resort - we'll be returning soon for our 4th visit - and I feel like I'm going home. ;)
