POR Question

I booked a king bed at POR since it will be just me and my wife (anniversary trip). I had to pay $16 extra a night, which kind of bugs me.

But anyway, I read on the description page here that king bed rooms are also accessible rooms at POR. Is that true, or are there "normal" king POR rooms?

To be honest, I really don't want an accessible room. (Bath tub, counters different, etc...I'm tall).

Can anyone help with this?

I'm not 100% sure, but at All Star Sports, the King rooms were the accessible ones. I think it's the same across the moderates too. There is no tub, it's a walk-in shower.

Has anyone who stayed in a King Room at POR NOT had an accessible room?

This really doesn't make much sense to me.

I suppose I could always call WDW and ask them, but...I'd prefer to know what the verdict is ahead of time...

I think there are both accessible and non accessible king rooms. At least the King room we had at CBR last year was not accessible...

Ok...that is what makes sense.

This site, under resort reviews, says that all king room are accessible. I saw one other person ask the question a few years ago, but nobody knew the answer.

I'll see if anyone who has stayed in one at POR chimes in. Thanks so far.

We stayed at POR in April and had a King Bed room. Our room wasn't accessible and had a bathtub and the two pedastal sinks. Hope this helps!

I've stayed in a King room at POR twice. The first time the room was NOT accessible. The second time the room was accessible - but that was by request.

How were the king beds? Comfy or not so much? I've read mixed reviews on that subject, too.

We stayed in a king at POR and it was not accessible. I, too, am tall and feel your pain with lower couters!

The bed was fine for me. After running all day in the parks, a bed of nails would be comfortable. The pillows and bed did the trick and we got great sleep every night.
