Just wondering if we should book a prefer room. What is "preferred" about the rooms? We will have a car but would like to be closer to the foodcourt. Is that considered preferred? We are going in 11/11. Thanks, Linda

If it is very important to you to be closer to the lobby and food court area then you will want to pay for the preferred room. We stayed in the Mansion area and found the walk less than 5 minutes to the main pool, and the food court was another 3 or 4 minute walk.

We didn't pay for a preferred room (had a king bed though) and we were fairly close to the food court and main pool, we were in Magnolia Terrace. We just had to cross the bridge to the main pool area then a bridge from there to the food court. Loved the room and location!

That is where we stayed too. Great location. So easy to get to the main pool, food court, and bus stop. We have stayed in that location twice.

Same here. We would do the mansions if we went back and they are not the preferred. The only thing I'd pay extra for would be a room facing one of the quiet pools. Unfortunately anything that faces even a puddle is considered water view so it's a crap shoot and I won't bother.

Hi Linda. We stayed at the Pop in August 2009. Absolutely loved it. Honestly though i wish i had a preferred room. I believe i was in the 70's building which was or seemed like it was the furthest away from everything. I felt like i was more exhausted walking back and forth to the car than i did walking around the parks lol. So i would go for the preferred room.
