POR pool question

Are the quiet pools at POR really quiet, or are they just less busy than the main pool? Are there usually kids at all of the pools?

This past December the quiet pool near building 38 was really quiet. It was 80 plus degrees the week were there and the main pool had plenty of guests enjoying it. We used the quiet pool one day and it was very peaceful.

ETA: We did take our children but they don't swim too much...so no splashing etc going on. They just kind of like to wade around.

When we were there in 2000 when it was still called Dixie Landings it was in Nov. and we were in the Alligator Bayou section, I forget what building we were in, but I know that the nearest quiet pool was hardley ever full, just a few people. We didn't use it, but when we would be near it, we hardly ever noticed anyone.

When we were there in 2006, we were in the Magnolia Bend section, in the Acadian House, it was during the first week of Feb. and we never noticed anyone using it at all. Even though it is a cooler time of the year, we still used the main pool twice, but the quiet pool was pretty darned quiet!

We stayed in building 27 (bayou) right next to a quiet pool. I never saw a single person swim there throughout my entire trip last May! Seems like everyone went to Ole Man Island!

Quiet pool has nothing to do with noise levels. It just means no slide, no life guards, little or no theming.

We had a room across from the quiet pool, building 39. It is a great location. During the day it is like you have the quiet pool to yourself. At night it is alittle more busy but not usually crowded. My boys actually liked the quiet pool better than the main pool.
