POR pool closing? REALLY???

I booked the POR today for Jan 1-8, is the pool really going to be closed while I'm there? Please help, im thinking about switching to POFQ. what do you all think?? thanks

Last I heard it is scheduled to close on Jan 8, which shouldn't impact your stay. I will be there in a few days, if there is any change, I will post it.

Don't forget that you can always use the pool at POFQ anyway since they're sister resorts. And I believe that it's just the main pool that's going to be closed at POR. There are still a lot of quiet pools to choose from.

it seems that if its not going to close until the 8th and there are all those quiet pools which i forgot because i didn't use them when we stayed there last, and its probably not going to be warm enough to swim anyway, however, i'm getting an AP pass and my girlfriend is only getting a hopper, we're trying to save money, so i was thinking, it will save us an extra 230 dollars if we stay at all star. Do you think its worth the extra we'll save?

...just walked in the door, 1:45am from experiencing the BEST vacation I've ever had...We stayed at POR, Magnolia Terrace room 8776 and it was so lovely. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and if you like convienience to the lobby it's best to stay at Oak Manor, it's the closest, I think. The cast members were wonderful from the minute I stepped foot on the resort property and all of the Christmas Decorations are up!! Oh, it's so beautiful! I highly recommend POR to anyone who wants to enjoy elegance, tranquility and gentility at an economic rate.
