POR or POFQ?

We are thinking of doing a Disney/Universal trip next May. We are thinking of staying at the POFQ. It will be DH, myself, and our 7 1/2 year old DD. Does anyone have thoughts on which is better, the POR or POFQ? This will be our 2nd trip. Last time we stayed at POP. Also does anyone know which rooms are quietest without being too far away from the main building/busses especially at POFQ? We would appreciate any tips and help. Thanks.

I would look at both threads and decide which one best suits your needs.

The biggest difference between the two is one is more compact and one is more spread out.

Everything is close to the main building at POFQ; where the quietest rooms would be facing the parking lot.

Same for POR. Remainder of rooms either have pools or walkways to the main amentities.

Personally, I'd choose POFQ's compact size over POR's greater variety of amenities. If you're at POFQ and want to use any of the POR pools, recreation, etc, it's a quick walk over.

All the rooms are close to the main buildings, but it doesn't really get as noisy as bigger resorts IMO.

You have a MUCH better chance of getting a room discount at POR than your do at POFQ, so keep that in mind as well if that is a factor in your decision.
