Ok,

Anyone have a good experience with POR bus service in July? We are planning a trip for next summer and have to go sometime in the last half of July due to schedules. Last time we went to WDW we stayed at POR (family of 5) right after Memorial Day and loved it. We did not have any problems with bus service (we definately get up and going 1st thing in the AM, and didn't mind waiting for the bus/standing if we stayed until park closing...as that was expected). We were only in WDW for 3 days/2 nights.

Anyway, this next trip we will be going all out and spending the entire week at WDW. To save $$ we will be using Magical Express and not renting a car. We are toying with the idea of upgrading to YC/BC to be within walking distance to some of the parks...but not sure if we want (or are able) to spend the extra $$.

We really enjoyed POR last time, but the bus thing during July has me a little worried. Again, we do not have unrealistic expectations...as even if you drive you spend time parking, etc. But we don't want to spend hours waiting for a bus.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Regards,

Kelly

We were at POR this past July, the 29th - August 2nd and had no issues with the bus service. It was much better than I thought it would be.

We just returned from our first stay at WDW. The POR buses were always crowded, and it seemed as if we had to wait forever for more to come, especially leaving the parks. The buses seem to favor POFQ resort since they got the first stop in both directions.

Thanks for the replies. G's Mommy, I am glad to hear that you did not experience problems.

Iluvradcliffe-can you provide any more info with regards to when/where you had to wait so long for a POR bus? (ie, at the resort in the morning, going to a specific theme park, etc?) I know that you already mentioned leaving the parks...but I am also curious about getting to the parks. Thanks!

Thanks again any and all responses,

Kelly
