POR AB trundle bed

Do you only get a trundle bed if you are a family of 5? There are just 4 of us, but I'd like to have the option if our 7 and 10 year olds don't want to share a bed.

Good question, I put it as a request on our reservation at POR for the same reason. My guess is you can request it, but it is just a request and not guaranteed. I'm sure if they don't have families of 5 that need them then you'll get the request, that's what I'm hoping for too!

The above poster is correct...if you are a family of 4, it is only a request. They will, of course, first go to families of 5 who need them.

We are a family of 4, and have stayed at POR twice. Both times, I requested a room in AB and got it (not necessarily for the trundle bed, but because we like the area). And, both times, there was a trundle bed in the room. So there is definitely a chance that you will get one!

thanks, I think I will call and add it as a request. I think my children will be so exhausted that they will sleep anywhere but it is nice to have the option if possible.

Every room in AB has the trundle bed, as long as it is not a king bed room. Since you have 4 you won't be getting a king room. That should increase your chances somewhat.

Only the rooms in the AB section of POR have the trundle beds. You can request a room in the AB section but parties of five get first dibs.

We got a room with a trundle bed in AB first week of April tis year. There were only 3 of us - 2 adults and 1 12 year old. I requested AB becuase I preferred the less formal look of those buildings over the mansions.

We have stayed at POR 8 times and have requested, and gotten, a room in the AB section all but 1 of the times (the first year we requested the mansions). We are a party of 3, and have traveled in late August, and twice around Thanksgiving. Not only do I like the AB section better, but my DH and I are too tall to fit in a double bed together and the trundle for DS was great.
