Just heard the local weather and the storm that as of this a.m. wasn't going to hit until Wed. p.m. now looks like it's coming in earlier! I'll have to wait until tomorrow a.m. to see what it's like. Today it was supposed to be mostly rainy but it actually didn't rain much at all. Unfortunately, while going to WDW in the rain isn't so bad (summer time) going to DLR in Jan. in the rain will be a different matter. IT'S BE COLD-high of 58, and that's cold for So. Cal. Of course, there won't be any lines!

ADDED-Went to DLand on Wednesday and it was great! No lines to speak of and the rain held off until about 2:30 p.m. Just as we were leaving the station on Screamin'! It was a blast riding it in the rain!

I just got a call from BrerRabbit_fan. She said the fridge is "stinky".
I will take baking soda and cleaner. Any other ideas? She said it's so bad they're not even using it right now.

Yikes, I feel bad. We had some leftover pizza one night and we put it in the fridge. All but a couple of pieces were in a zipper bag. Im sure that is what it is. I feel really bad that they arent able to use it. Im sorry.

Sorry to hear that-I'm surprised it's so bad they aren't using it. The baking soda and cleaner should take care of it. Also, I would leave some baking soda in it in a ziploc bag with a few small openings it in while it's in storage (and while you are using it). (And I hope she's leaving it plug in or it will really smell) Or if you could bring a small container, like a margarine one, to put some baking soda in and put a few small holes it it-or just the box of baking soda itself.

Hope that takes care of the problem (it should). Also, loud-frog I never heard from sarika so everything is as you already arranged.

Oh, and no blame here, but if everyone could bring those very handy Ziplocs for their (aromatic) leftovers, that would be great!

Hello everyone- We are just back from POP a few hours ago and I just wanted to post that I got the fridge fine from kristenhh (thanks and nice to meet you!) and everything was great with it. I added a toaster that stores inside and a 12 cup coffee pot in a separate box (hope it doesnt get lost!) taped to the main box. I put it in storage for one day for the next swapper so hopefully it wont get lost!!! I will try and post a picture (I'll have to get DH to do that) since Dizneydaz wanted me to get a current picture of the box/fridge on the thread. Thanks again, Dizneydaz for all your hard work. It was so nice to have the fridge.

Thanks for adding the toaster and coffeepot, blessedby3!! I hope you had a great trip and was happy to hear the fridge working well for you. Do you think some packing tape will reinforce the box, or does it really need to be replaced?

The box felt pretty weak to me- almost like it had been wet at some time. Packing tape may help a bit, but Im not too sure.

New opening-one of our swappers has upgraded to another resort and we know have 10/22 to 11/1 newly open. This actually gives us 10/5 to 11/7 open. Hope to fill up some of this slot to keep it going.
