Morning poppers! We are HOME! We got home at about 3am on Tuesday morning....slept till 10 yesterday - the girls didn't go to school again! I'm up to my eyeballs in laundry of course. dh is home today & will go back to work tomorrow...so my dis time today might be small...gotta at least "look" like I'm cleaning & getting the house in order.
ok let's see if I can tell you about our week in 1000 words or less....
Left home at 6am on Thursday ...arrived at Ohare in time for them to tell me my flight was delayed & there was no way in heck we would make the connection in DC - uh oh what's that mean? Well they put us on stand by for a 5pm flight out of DC. Butcouldn't say where/when our luggage would be, they were going to try to get it to Tampa that day? HUH TRY???? SO imagine ME at the UNited skycap...going thru EVERY piece of our luggage (all 7) to quickly put together a carryon of a couple of outfits per person in case we didn't have any luggage...
ok our flight leaves Ohare 3 HOURS later than scheduled....get to DC wait 4 hours, YIPPEE we made standby...get to Tampa at 9pm (supposed to have gotten there at 12:30pm) & guess what? Our luggage somehow made it onto the same flight we were on! & it was all there!
Load up the rental car & head towards Ft. Myers - We got to Mike's parents house at about 11;:30 it only took us 16 hours to FLY to Florida!
After some much needed sleep on Friday am....we spent the day at my inlaws pool! That was so nice! Went to a nice dinner - then to the Shell Factory for some fun.
Saturday we went to Ft. Myers Beach & played in the waves - beautiful beach! Then we went to the rental house to meet our friends. We made steaks & a few pitchers of margaritas & played poker till 3am
Sunday we hung out at the house most of the day, the hubby's golfed, the kids played in the pool. the mom's did the grocery shopping and snuck off to a couple of scrapbook stores
Monday we went to a Minnesota Twins spring training game, (boring - but that's just me - I'm not a huge baseball fan) then off to Ft. Myers beach again for an afternoon of sun, beach, and dinner on the beach watching the beautiful sunset!
Tuesday was of course my favorite day of all! We were up at 5am & on the road by 5:30 for Disney! We arrived at the gate at 8:30 am! by the time we got our bags checked it was too crowded to do much for opening other than wait...I was in absolute heaven! After meeting Horace, Clarabell, Pluto and Daisy we went right to Fantasyland....rode everything. Met Ariel too. While in line for the Carousel Mary Poppins came right up to Grace and said "Looks like a lovely day for a ride, would you like to join me?" So Grace & Kendall (another one of the little 7 yr olds) skipped off. Now most of the other 3 girls handled this fine...but Kendall's 9 yr old sister proceeded to break out in sobs (oh boy - a day of whining I could just tell ) Now my kids whine sometimes, they misbehave...but never at Disney! They are just so happy to be there!! We had a fantastic day! It was crowded but I managed to do everything we wanted to do. The girls & I skipped the 3pm parade & opted to do Tomorrowland instead. DId all three mountains, when we got to adventureland, I went & asked a CM when Jasmine might be around...he said "why don't you go get in line?
" So we did, 30 seconds later...here comes Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie!!!! Grace of course had her Jasmine shirt on, so Aladdin took her aside and asked her if she would give Jasmine a special present from him (it was a small little satin heart?) anyway she did it for him and Jasmine made a big deal out of it. Grace was thrilled. Then as we were leaving, that same Cm had just written a trivia question on the board - "what was the elephants name in Tarzan?" Well people were guessing like crazy...without any help Casey yells out Tantor! & then she got her moment! big claps, a certificate and 3 shiny rocks?( still don't get the rock thing). Dinner at CP was great - Eyeore made a huge deal out of Casey - SHe had brought an 8x10 pic of her and him from October for him to sign...so he did "TO Casey, love always Eyeore"
Watched Spectro - Dopey came over & shook Casey's hand so she was quite happy! We watched wishes, I got some amazing pics this time (I'm downloading now, I'll post in a bit!) Then ran back to TOonTown so they could meet some more princesses....CIndy, Snow White & Belle in her Yellow dress!!
The girls really all did great...there were a few times when the other mom's & kids passed on a ride, and just sat & rested. The girls & I were non-stop the whole time.
Shopped our way thru mainstreet! (Cat, I have the mints!) I need to mail the mints & TImmy's pin.
ok, Cat you were right...the BEst Western on I-drive is a DIVE !!! a total 100% DIVE! We got there at midnight, & high tailed it out by 8am!!!
SPent the day at DTD. SHopped somemore....ate at Earl.
We had really nice, CM's this time....I spent more time talking to them on this two day trip than I ever had before.
Left for home at 4...but on the way....in Winterhaven...we just happened to see a HUGE scrapbook store!! yippee!!
When we got back to the house, the boys had made spaghetti for dinner & it was waiting for us! yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
gotta go wake Grace up for school....I'll finish in a bit..
away at the taxes... and you know who went to BED!!!!!
DH got up early with the kids 
there is this guy who I work with tonight and had over heard me and my girlfriend talking about WDW. So as soon as he got the chance... he butt in and said "Oh we're going next week" so all along I thought he's booked with ticks and ADRS. I started asking question like how if why and when. He said... I will go online tonight and book it at Expedia.. OK fine... I said you have ADR's already "no need, we'll play it byt ear"
I just hope the kids dont get overwhelmed when the parents starts going
