Actually i've been in the nyc papers or news like a dozen or so times. The guys at the fire house always say if it goes down or poop hits the fan,somehow,someway mrFDNY will be there. I am a black cloud,that was a name given to me day 1 at the fire house, because my first day on the job at my fire house it was oddly busy, 911 recieved a record number of calls for assistance from the FDNY. My first day i saw a ton of action, they said no other rokkie had that much action on thier first tour.

OMG! THAT was a riot. After the fact I mean. At the time I was just freaked out for that little boy.
Similar thing happened today at the pool. I was sitting there reading a book while the boys swam and my Mom came in to say hi. There was this little boy in a stroller who was maybe 18 month to 2 years old. His Mom was NOWHERE to be found. Well this kid was not wanting to sit calmly and wait so he was standing up, shaking the stroller, etc. My Mom and I FREAKED out. We ran over and got him to sit down and tried to keep him occupied until Mommy dearest got back. Well who shows up? A size negative 1, blonde with big you know whats in a bikini. I swear it was a POPper pool flashback. What's up with "Malibu Barbie Moms" and their kids at pools? Sheesh.

I have a gazillion things to do today. I need to go to Sam's club, and buy all the food for the fun fair at Gracie's school. It's Saturday, & while I won't be there, as the pto pres, I have to sign the check. Then, I have to work in the book room at school, then it's Market Day today, then both the girls skate afterschool today...WAIT a second....not one minute in there did anything occur for ME! I'm going to Starbucks before Sam's club!

I have to tell you guys, I had every intention of getting little trinkety things for you for the mini-meet..just fun stuff..I just haven't gotten around to it...sorry I will be there Saturday empty handed (except for Michelle's thin mints!!!)

Thanks for all the great advice everyone about Mary Kay! I called my friend to talk to her about it and she hasn't called me back yet. She understands why I don't want any inventory and she knew that going in, it is just the director that doesn't understand. Hopefully I can get that thru her thick head or quit!

I saw them so often.... if you think of an L shape, they were on one part of the L, in the 50's and we were in the other. Every morning, when I'd go out to smoke, they'd be out there fighting and bickering, and every evening, down by the bar, fighting again.

I saw this suave (?) ad last night during 'I love New York' (I need help) and it said that 89% of moms feel they have let themselves go. Then it said 100% of them can get themselves back. I like that. Look good, feel good, be fierce.
