My MK director called me last night and asked me about buying inventory and I said I wasn't comfortable getting some and she said I was not committed! She said I needed to get some because last time I was in MK I didn't have inventory and if I didn't now nothing would change. She said her unit is in the top 15% of MK or something like that and how I needed to be a good seller too. Honestly I just want the discount and to sell to family and friends, but if I had told her that, she really would have said I am really not commited! I felt discouraged. I'm not sure if I want to quit or not. I need to think about it.

TInk, she needs to let you do what you choose to do. If she is making you buy inventory, then i would quit. Just tell her outright, that you are doing it for the discount and you will bring in some sales, but you are not in it to be the next Mary Kay or whatever they are called

BUT - Let me tell you, that woman is just going to get you in trouble! I know plenty of MaryK consultants that DON'T carry an inventory! I'm a Creative Memories consultant (not to be confused with a CM) My upline at first was pressuring me to do that, I flat out told her no, I'll be a consultant on MY terms not yours, if that's not ok, rip up my contract. Amazingly 9 years later I'M the one who is still a consultant - not her! Do what you want Tink!


Tia - I'm jealous!!!! I want to go to Europe SOOOOO badly! Mike & I both want to see so many places there. We're hoping for our 20th wedding anniversary (in 2 years) we can go ....I love both trips you mentioned! It would be so hard to choose. Sorry Ryan is sick...the crud has made the rounds at my house too.

Just got home from picking up my prenatals and WITH my insurance it's 40 flippin DOLLARS?!!?!? WHY you ask?? well last time it was only 8$...now they have me on some freakin' whoop-dee-doo special prenatals that must give birth for me or something for that price! This is the brand my OB wants me on!

We use their diaper rash cream! it's amazing and makes their butt smell good haha!

Yeah, I am pretty excited. If Terry goes back active duty our first choice is someplace in Europe! I doubt he will but if he does, that's my stipulation!

BB makes everything smell good. And their stuff doesn't have any of those nasty chemicals in them! BONUS!

I'm on the news in nyc. Last night 2 police officers were stabbed at a train station in brooklyn. It's odd, the call comes over and were there in like 2 minutes. There are like 3 or 4 police cars there already,but dozens more are on the way. Somehow the local news agencys are already there, there were like 6 or 7 cameras on us, i find it weird how they beat us to the call.Anyway all involved will be ok and thats all that matters.

I am so sorry this is happening to you. I am in a DS company too, so I hope this does not put a bad taste in your mouth because they are NOT all like this. You should NOT have to keep inventory. I think the reason many companies want you to do this is because it helps with your overall volume which in turn helps your upline. A huge order for inventory purposes is great for the month you place it, but it does you no good if you a) don't sell it to get a return on your investment and b) do not continue to place those huge orders to keep your volume up! If you are feeling any hesitation, follow your gut instincts. You are in business for yourself essentially, and you should NEVER do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable! If you need any help with anything, let me know. I will do my best to offer good advice!
