Listen to my accident story - not that long ago either... maybe 2 months.
Anyways.... I was at CVS and was waiting for some dumb broad to turn around. She must have thought her car was as big as a semi, cuz she'd go forward, go back, go forward go back...like a million times, as I sat there behind a big ol' chevy SUV.
Well, remember - I dont have a horn....Jim never replaced that fuse, so this SUV starts back up, and theres a car behind me and I cant go forward cuz the woman in the semi-sized-dodge-neon is doing her thing.... I just pray he feels when he hits me.
Thankfully he does, and it doesnt seem THAT bad.... and he gets out, and its a guy who used to live in an old apartment I lived in waaaay back when. He's Polish and here illegally - and not a whole lot of money. SO, I tell Joey - get out, and see how bad it is. He says it's not bad at all. I wave to the guy "Its fine" and he doesnt even say thankyou or anything (JERK!) and gets back in his car. I should have had him deported....
So, flash forward, Jim is ticked I didnt call the police, get his name, yada yada yada.... I say listen, my car is old, it's right before CHristmas, that guy isnt even legal - I did the right thing.
Flash forward again.... to a nice juicy rainstorm. Long story short, the door is all bent and when it rains, my passenger side is a big sloppy mess. Didnt see THAT. Doesnt really close at the top....failed to notice THAT.
So - I had to explain to Jimmy while the car was all wet. And he gave me that look. That "I told you so" look.
SO, you can imagine how much I am looking forward to the spring storms!!!
Ill be getting that look a lot.
I can't imagine how long it will be by the time the cruise actually gets here in August 2008!
Thats why the call it an ACCIDENT!!! Its okay. Gives your car some character!
