Im going away soon and I was just wandering if this ride is worth going on and a stupied question but is there a drop within it?

I appreciate any answers

Thankyou :wizard:

Definitely worth going on, but you will get absolutley soaked on it.
Great fun and a must do ride at IOA.

No real big drops as such, like there is on Ripsaw Falls or Jurassic Park, but one or two minor one's.

great pic:thumbsup2

IMO it's the best 'raging rapid' type water ride out there.

think we tend to get more wet from folks spraying us than the rapids lol.

And it's way better than Kali River Rapids at AK as this one gets you wet, like these rides are supposed to do.

I would suggest waiting until you are almost ready to leave the park as you WILL slosh off of the ride - the girls did it twice (once with dh) and they were DRENCHED! Drenched but laughing hysterically :lmao: :lmao:

this was after DUDLEY - so imagine how much more wet Popeye's is!!!

Don't get me wrong - if you are REALLY hot, it will feel good! ::yes::

I think this ride gets you too wet. Last time I rode, the force of the water knocked my sunglasses off and knocked my contact lens out of my eye. It was painful and very unpleasant. It's a fun ride, but it's very forceful and a lot rougher than many other rides of it's type. I don't recall any drops, but then again I was blind through half the ride so how would I know? :rotfl:

What is funny is we rode it twice last year. One time I got off and didnt get wet at all. The second time I looked like I fell in a pool!

We usually do both parks on the same day (we are DVC owners and stay in WDW). We start at IOA and right after the ticket turnstyles there we go left and rent a locker where we can leave a set of dry clothes. We save the drenching rides for last and after getting totally soaked (bring flipflops) we grab our dry clothes and change in the restrooms. Some people also bring the poncho raincoats if they don't want to walk around soaking wet.

I love Popeyes. Dont miss it!
Don't miss dudley's either.I have been to Universal countless of times.. I would always pass dudley by. I was terrified of the drop. Well, last year I finally went, and loved it. Beware on both. You will more than likely, be drenched to the bone. But, thats what water rides are for. :goodvibes

I hope the weather stays warm in Oct. I plan to ride them both!

There is also a restroom across from the exit of Popeye if you need to change clothes :thumbsup2

This is my favorite ride ever! Nothing compares

my wife and kids love the ride and if they had it thier way the would have rode it all day no matter how wet they got.

I love this ride....but, I don't mind getting wet! I was SOAKED when I got off the first time I rode it. I was dripping and wrigging out my clothes for about 30 min....the idea about bringing dry clothes is genius (yeah yeah - sometimes I just don't think that far ahead). But, then again, the whole experience in Universal should include a story about soaked! Ahh....I guess that's one advantage to staying onsite....

This is one of my favorite rides as well. Its a "must do!"
I think one of my favorite parts is watching the people across from me get wet...especially when they are from my own family!!! :p
