How's it feel to FINALLLLLY be 21?!?!? :3dglasses

Hi gang,

It's been a long, sad day here in nyc. I worked a 16 hour tour, in 94 degree heat, but with the heat index they said it felt like 103. I think it felt like 120!!! Anyway one of my guys is gone, a young kid with a pregnant wife. He just got off and was riding his motorcycle home when he was struck and killed by another car. I knew of him, but did not know him all that well, still he wore the same uniform as me, so it makes it personal. I met him a few times on big jobs.

The guys from his fire house are a mess, they responded to the 911 call of a motorcyclist down and pulled up to find him al ready far too gone to be helped. I have to go to bed, i'm just beat, oh good news, my air conditioner is working but running hot. As of right now, it is 82 degrees in my house.

Cute sign Michelle ! No big plans for fathers day here !

DMM_-WHat a good idea! I'm getting him a Willow Tree figurine. We fly back from Hawaii tomorrow, but we don't get home till Thurs.

That's a great sign...someone got us one similar to that for our wedding....it STILL hangs by our front door - 2o yrs later.

Rebecca - you're in HAWAII??????? Did I know that? holy crud that's AWESOME!!!!! Somewhere I've always wanted to go...

Happy - very late - bday Lori! Didya do anything fun?

10 days till we leave...time to start the packing brigade!

Nothing special for fathers day here....just cards & hugs....

Michelle - Cute sign.

Rebecca - YOU ARE IN HAWAII??? Seriously? Where at?? We lived on Oahu for about 3 years. Hmm.... did you go to Libby's Manapua Shop?

Chris - You travel so much! I am JEALOUS!

Halloween Horror Nights tickets went on sale. They are like $75 each! :scared1: Luckily only Terry wants to go! That is really the thing he is looking forward to the most, so I have to figure it out, but that is a lot of money! Plus MNSSHP on top of that and the crazy air fare prices. :headache: So much for a budget trip. At least we get free dining!!

Cat - How is moving going?

Im jealous too! ::yes::

I hate the 'special ticket' prices, let alone $75 special ticket price!!!! HOLY COWWWW!!! :faint: Good thing its only him. Yowsa!!

Moving is......going. I hate packing. I put it off terribly. I do a little teeny chunk and then take an hour break. Then a teeeeeenier chunk, and break. Im gonna end up 'garbage bagging it' the day before we leave, I know it. Everything into the garbage bags.

Yes I'm in Hawaii. We are on Maui...so now I didn't go to that place you mentioned...we went to Hana, the Old Lahaina Luau, the Hakealaka volcano (dormant), the beach, and we were in a wedding which took 2 days. I've been doing a trip report in my blog...its my screenname here dot blogspot.com.

Rebecca - I didn't know you had a blog too ! You've been hiding from us ! Off to stalk your blog !

I am headed over to the inlaws house this evening. Dan's sister is heading to NY to be a camp counselor for the summer. I did pictures of Dan and his siblings and we are going to give one of them to his parents tonight. ( The rest we are saving as a suprise for Christmas).

Other than that not much going on here !

OH WOW! I love it. I used to go to Moose's on Oahu often. What a fun bar it was! Your breakfast sounded SO DARN GOOD!!!!!!!!!! Man, I miss Hawaii. Terry and I were just talking the other day how we would like to go back. I think we may take a break from Disney :( :scared1: so we can experience other things.
I want to go to: Hawaii, Europe (mostly Austria, Italy, England and Ireland), Washington DC, Canada, and New York City! New York will probably be a solo or girls trip because I want to see shows on Broadway, and I know Terry could give 2 you know whats about that!
I can't imagine not going to Disney, but part of me wants to show Ryan the real deal not just facades in Epcot ya know? Do you ever think about that?

Hi gang,
Whats doing?? Well in case you have not heard, nyc has been having a heat wave, well can you guess whos A.C. unit decided to die this week????? Right now it is 88 outside and 85 in my house, thats with 3 windows open and 3 fans on. Because of the heat wave it is almost impossible to find an New A.C. unit at any store. Here in brooklyn most have window units, i need a 15,000 btu unit, which i can't find, the best i found was a 6,000 btu unit, but that won't do.

Guess who went on a cruise today??? Yep me, not the kind you think, we ended up responding to a major cruise ship for someone who fell and trapped on it. It came in as a "rescue" run, when we got there tourist where taking our pictures and fliming us with there camcorders, now i know how mickey feels. Anyway, it turned out to nothing major and the person did'nt even have to go to the hospital, we got to tour the cruise ship, as we had to walk what seemed like 2 miles on the boat to get to the 911 caller. It leaves tomorrow morning for St thomas, i think or st something near flordia.

Sorry my computer room has been to hot to even turn the pc on in, never mind sit in it and try to dis, i'm working on having a new A.C. unit by the weekend, i hope.

One more question for you guys, you see my countdown clock?? When i preview signature on the dis, it shows the dates and time left until my trip, but when i save it, i don't see any "days until" or time left until disney, so

Do you guys see any dates or only the picture??? If so, any idea to what i'm doing wrong, if i preview it and the dates are there then why are they not there when i post???:confused3 :confused3

PJ - I feel your pain! We were without a cooler for almost a month. On average our house was about 90 degrees! YUCK!! And it has been in the upper 90's to low 100's so yeah, I know where you are coming from! Good luck in your search. Can't you order one from Lowes or Home Depot?

I did not see your dates on your ticker either. No clue what is going on there!

WOW!!! What did you guys talk about??? I haven't been on-line in a little while, but i think I'm like thirty something pages behind... can that be true??? Maybe on Sunday I can catch up!

Hope you all are well! Talk to you soon, CDM

Didnt miss much. We all just check in when we can - unlike SOME PEOPLE!! Yeah - Im looking at you. :3dglasses

Danny is on his way to Paris - Im JEALOUS OF HIM and NERVOUS!!! UGH!

Disneyland Paris too - jerk!

PJ--I think your siggie is too long, so its getting cut off. Try putting your first two images right next to each other (no space in between in the code) and that should fix it.

Tia--I feel the same way. If it weren't for this wedding we wouldn't have stopped going to Disney. About midway through the trip I admitted that I liked Hawaii better than Disney.:faint: It was just so much more relaxing! I still plan on going to WDW in 2009, and maybe again in 2010 on the same AP, but we'll probably alternate WDW and real world trips now, instead of WDW annually. DD is still to young to care, I want to see the world for me. I, too want to go see a Broadway show (with girls, DH has zero interest), I want to go to France with someone who can speak French(DH zero interest), I want to go to the Phillipines (again 0 interest DH), Niagara Falls, Germany, Williamsburg, VA, Japan (DH 0 for this), and that's all I can think of. I want to go back to Hawaii too...but its SO expensive to get there. Once we got there it was cheaper than Disney, but the airfare for us 3 was $1800 total. That's like a whole Disney trip.

.

Yep, i think that worked, thank you nanu. I mean rebecca!!!!!

Rebecca - Yep, I know what you mean. I LOVE Disney. I wish I could go all the time. But I also want to experience the rest of the world too. There is so much to see and do. And Ryan is at a great age to start doing some of those things. I looked up tours to Europe. A 10 day trip (including air fare) and visiting 4 countries (I think it was) was around $1100 per person! This trip to Disney for us including air fare and shopping is going to be close to $3000 I am sure. I don't know if I want to go with a group to Europe, but even still, that is a heck of a price! I feel like a traitor! But I am also kind fo tired of saying someday we will do this and someday we will go there... Life is too short to live in the hopes of someday.
I am so thrilled you are loving Hawaii. It really is a magical place. I would keep watching air fare and I am sure at some point you will find a great deal. One time we found tickets for around $350 per person so it is possible! You really can have a great vacation for not a whole lot!

Wow, $3000 for disney is a lot. Our trip in Sept 2 years ago (before my parents got DVC) was $1600, all-inclusive...that was 3 airline tix, food, lodging and tix for DH and I (DD was still free for all but airfare.) I liked it when she was free.
