Hello again!

My trip is coming closer and I am getting really excited now :woohoo: and dumb questions start to pop up ... after browsing the web way to much :rolleyes1 (in preparation for my upcoming trip), I just decided, I have to start my own popcorn bucket collection...!popcorn::

So, I was wondering if those adorable Mickey balloon popcorn buckets are (usually) still available in Disneyland or if they’ve already stopped selling those..? ( I don’t wanna raise my hopes and look forward to buy one, just to find out they stopped selling those months ago anyways...) and if I am in luck and they are still available, where would be the best place to look for them?

I would obviously love to get one of those, but even if not I can easily settle for a different one (if I can brace myself for it ;))... I just hope I’ll find one which isn’t just a “plain bucket with a picture”, but a shaped character of any kind preferable a fab 5 or any other Disney classic one...

Thanks for any insights!:flower3:

I don’t think I saw the Mickey balloon ones yesterday. They had plenty of Sully’s and in Tomorrowland they still had the At-At and tie fighter. I think those were the only special ones I saw.

Are these things refillable?

The regular popcorn buckets are not refillable. The AP buckets which are refillable, e.g. the recent Pixar alien bucket, are sold during special promotions. Those buckets require a valid AP for purchase and for each refill. They are only refillable during the promotion, not during the rest of the year.

We were there last week and saw lots of Sully and the AT-AT. The AT-AT ones were great! If we had gotten one that is what we would have wanted.

How big are the popcorn buckets? Just thinking about how they'd fit in a suitcase and how practical they'd be once we got home. If they're anything close to trying to pack one of those WoC glow cups ... :sad2:

The wings on the tie fighter are removable to make packing a little easier.
I don't have the At-At handy, but it is pretty large; probably about 12" tall and about the same in length, although I think we were able to fold up the legs to make it a little more compact.
The MM balloon is 10.5" tall, the same from ear to ear and about 5.5" front to back.

They are bigger than the glow cups. That is why we always resist buying them. We have brought a couple of the glow cups home.

There's also a regular bucket with mickey and friends characters on them. Outside of popcorn these can be used as beach pails!

I use mine from Six Flags in the tub to rinse the kids' hair. I use my Disney ones for....POPCORN. I don't have any of the shaped ones though. Ours just stack nicely in the cupboard.

So I get a little confused because I know some buckets are for APs only, is the At-At one for APs or can anyone buy that one? I wonder if they *might* still offer it next February or will it likely be gone? I'm *this* close to buying one on ebay.

The AT-AT is available to anyone. In terms of how long it will last, that's harder to say. The Tie Fighter is still around and it was introduced several years ago. I'd tentatively guess that the AT-AT will still be around early next year, but no one knows for sure.

Thank you for the reply!
