Hi,
i hear that the 60's are the preferred rooms. if you dont want to pay the extra $10/night, what would you suggest as a nice room to request? we like to be near the pool and food court if possible...also heard you could see EPCOT from somewhere???? Is it okay to request a non smoking room? what else should we request?

thanks for your help!!!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

The 60's are the preferred rooms. I'm not sure about the layout of the resort though to be able to help on what decade to ask for. I think I read the 80's were a good location, but I have slept since reading that :)

It is definately ok to ask for non smoking, just keep in mind that they are first come first serve, but they will note it on your reservations.

Just got back from POP and stayed in the 80's building. We were right next to the Computer pool. 70's are close to the POP Jets. I really didn't mind the walk from 80's to the food court. Only took a couple of minutes. don't thin kyou can really go wrong where ever you are.

Hope you have a great time!

I am pretty sure the rooms that you can see the fireworks from are the ones that are the farthest away from the food court. Looking at the resort map on the Pop thread the 50's was my first choice...

We were at Pop Century in March and we requested the 70's bldg. bottom floor due to small children and we got it. I would say 70's would be the closest to the food court without paying extra and staying in the 60's bldg. I'm not sure about the fireworks at Epcot because I don't think we were ever at the hotel to see them even if we could. The only thing about the 70's bldg. is, that they don't have a pool, but 60's does and it is just a skip away. The 70's does have the Goofy Jets though which were pretty fun for our little ones.

thanks for your input...i may try for the 70's since thats when we were growing up!!! would it be similar to staying at toy story or maybe football?::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

First off most of the entire resort is non-smoking. So if that's what you want you'll get it. I would reccommend something in the 50's. Those are the ones with the best view of Epcot. If you are interested in seeing Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks I would most reccommend building 3000, with rooms in the range of 3313 - 3336 & 3413 - 3436. These point both at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Any other spot in the 50's will suffice if view isn't really that important. And for the most part all rooms in the 50's are roughly 2 mins at most from the main building and the busses. Hopefully this helps if you have any other questions feel free to PM me. pirate:
