So who's really been there during Pop Warner Week? :duck:

Looking at the new UG park "Best Days" Guide, December 3-11 (my planned dates) are great for crowd levels. :crowded:

That is also Pop Warner Week.

I could change my dates to the 10-18, but that moves closer to Christmas.

I am obsessing. Should I move a week closer to Christmas to avoid Pop Warner Week? Will the crowds be better, worse, or irrelevant?

Help me decide. :teleport:

Added information: We will stay at a moderate at the least, and hope to upgrade to deluxe if AP rates come out for our dates.

I'm not doing the values this time :thewave:

Our 2003 trip was 12/3 - 12/11, and we didn't even know about Pop Warner (pieced it together when I got back and read up on the boards).

I didn't notice it affect the park crowds.

Other than a CRAZED food court (which I honestly don't mind so much), it didn't affect the hotel and we were staying at All Star Sports.

Others have had really bad experiences, but we weren't too affected. The only truly frustrating experience was the bus rides home on a bus full of cheering girls. Yes, how wonderful that they are showing their spirit, the parents and coaches say. But these girls are pretty young, so their voices are kind of...screechy. After a long day in the parks, makes the bus ride pretty long and it's not easy on the eardrums.

I wouldn't change your dates, the crowds were very manageable and you'll get to enjoy the decorations more leisurely. I'm sure many more will post with more info! Enjoy no matter what you decide!

On where you are staying. We've been there during Pop Warner week several times and didn't really notice it at the parks.
If you are staying at one of the resorts they are using it's a different matter. :sad2:
Our biggest complaint was lack of adult supervision and the resulting behavior.
We've seen a group of cheerleaders leave several tables a total shambles in the Food Court and laugh about it while pointing to the CMs saying "that's what they're here for".
We have heard groups of players apparently trying to impress each other with their vocabulary, tossing around obscenities I certainly won't use in public.
All of this going on while the adults were sitting at the bar.

If that type of behavior doesn't bother you, you'll be fine. Frankly, we don't need to put up with that on vacation.

We were there last year from December 6th to December 16th. The crowds were incredibly light and we never had to wait in any long lines for the rides. We didn't even notice that the cheerleaders were there. Don't worry and have a fantastic time. Early December is a perfect time to go! :flower:

No you shouldn't move your dates closer to Christmas. Kids are getting off for their Winter Break on that Friday.
Early December is such an amazing time to go, you won't believe how light the crowds are. :flower:

I will be watching the boards like a hawk starting in late July. The AP rates for December should be out in mid-late August if they come out.

Please Disney, Please. :worship:

1st choice: WL

2nd Choice: AKL

I'm hoping for $130 per night or less. :jumping2:

I'd take a pin code too though.

I figure the Pop Warner's may be at the some of the moderates, but probably not the deluxe. Not the unsupervised ones anyway. :rolleyes2

Is it just me, or is this guy kinda freaky? :dancer:

They're not at the deluxes. You'll have a fantastic time in early December! :flower:

Yes that guy is kind of freaky. :rotfl:
