Anyone know when Pop Warner will be at Disney this year?

Someone posted that they called Pop Warner and it's 12/3 to 12/9. It's usually the first full week, so that sounds right.

It's football for kids before they enter high school.

What is Pop Warner???

It's a junior football and competing cheerleader league for ages 8 to 16. They have their "Super Bowl" at Wide World of Sports at the beginning of December each year. There are 64 football teams and I think over 100 cheerleader teams competing (they have different age group brackets), so you're talking about thousands of kids. They mainly stay at the value resorts, where they overwelm the food courts & pools but it doesn't seem to make a big difference on park crowds because they are competing during the day.

We stayed at Pop Century this past Dec. during Pop Warner week and aside from seeing a couple of large groups of kids all dressed the same in a couple of parks we otherwise wouldn't have even known they were there.

If you are looking for a time to avoid visiting WDW then stay away during Jersey Week. We made that mistake in 2004 and the ride lines were like they were during the summer months. I think EVERYBODY from New Jersey was there. lol
