Pop/soda on board

My sister and I (cruising 9-17-05) heard somewhere that pop/soda on board is now free at all times, not just at dinner. Can someone confirm this for us? We have Passporter's DCL book and it's still saying pop is free only at dinner.

soda machines were available for free on our recent cruise, I believe it was on deck 9, and I believe they were always open.
