I stayed in that room last Febuary! Great room! I've heard many times not to request a room number, better to request 50's, building 2, 4th fl, IllumiNations view.

It is at the end of the lake so the view of the lake is not as nice as from building 3 (Tramp). We had such a beautiful view of the lake that we could almost forgot we were in a value resort! And we could watch IllumiNations too :)

Did you like the POP?

Just stayed in 2457 12/23 - 1/1! I agree that is was a wonderful location. I would have maybe liked to be a little closer to "Everything Pop" first thing in the morning when I needed my coffee and when returning exhausted after midnight but the peace and quiet was well worth the extra steps. I called about 2 weeks before our ressie and requested a room in the 50's building with an EPCOT view and they gave us 2457. Have a great time!

We would definitely recommend POP to anyone .
I phoned up 3 days before visit and requested 50s,facing lake and Epcot, building 2....and thats exactly what we got.
Its only a 3 minute walk to the main building (why anyone would pay premium to be facing the pool out back of the main building is beyond me!)

We are staying at POP - arriving next Saturday. We are in the preferred building and have requested top floor facing the water because of our son and noise - but I would love to see fireworks if it was possible. I know another poster was asking this as well. Do you know now that you have been at POP which building in the 60s would see Epcot? Or do we just add view of Epcot?

I don't know if you can see well from any of the 60's, but someone may be able to answer that better--we have been in the 50's twice, and if we go there again we will get a preferred room in the 60's as our location was bad this past week.

We couldn't see anything from our room, but walked to the back side of 50's (building C I think) to see fireworks, but in my opinion most of the fireworks are on the lake at Epcot and can't be seen anyway.

Hi, Amy, :wave2: Sorry to disagree, but if you read the posts from folks who have seen Illuminations you'd see that they've stayed mostly in 50's and some in the 70's. I had a perfectly clear view of Illuminations from the 50's building 2 (Juke box) and could step out of the door to see them from our room in building 3 (Tramp). Had a truly beautiful lake view from the Tramp building and a smaller lake view from the other 50's building. My friend, a few rooms down in Tramp building, had an excellent view of Illuminations too. :)

Of course no view, (even from my perfect EPCOT view Dolphin room) can see the entire Illuminations show - you see what's above the trees, but it's still great! We could also see other fireworks in the distance - as well as TOT!

Sounds like your rooms were on the wrong side.

Enjoy the 60's next time! Looks like fun :)
