If I don't get preferred...will I regret it?? Are the non preferred a long walk from food court and bus stop?? I would like a refurbed room...so if getting preferred ot not getting preferred makes a difference with getting a newer room, I'd be interested in that too.
Thanks!
now, this is MY opinion ONLY.
the 60's section used to be preferred. NOW it is (well, check out the map in a previous post), but parts of the 50', parts of the 60's parts of the 70's. so my opinion is, if you are on the first floor, or even the 2nd, you are closer to the food court, etc. but itf you are in the preferred 50'
s section, 3rd floor, you are STILL going to walk BACK to the elevator. so, in reality, if you are 6 rooms away from the elevator, you are no closer to the food court than the person 6 rooms away from the elevator in the OTher direction (no preferred) get what I mean?
2nd floor, I'll use the staircase).
so, I wouldn't bother paying extra for preferred room. at movies, we paid extra, we were on the 3rd floor, dalmations section, with a parking lot view. (I had mistakenly thought we would be in Fantasia, which USED to be the preferred).
if you need to use the elevator, I would request close to it. but those can be noisier.
this is just my opinion. I don't think it's worth the extra money, unless you are on the first or 2nd floor.
we like the 50's since the bowling pin pool is realy big.
but this time we requested the 80's section, since we never stayed there before, and it would be different. the resort isn't THAT big (not like POR).
