POP refurbed rooms with Flat Screens! Update Page 13 **

We had the 60's section facing the lake last year. I really liked that area. But I would like to try something diffrent. I may request 70 facing lake so I get a new refurbed room. I would also like to try the 50's section. But I don't think those rooms will be done in time.

For my upcoming September 11-18 trip, I have a room request on file for ground floor building 1 (50s), where I was last year and really enjoyed.

But, I'm thinking of changing my room request to get a renovated room. From the thread, it looks like ground floor building 6 or 10 (70s) would be a good bet, as those are complete now or will be complete for a September trip?

There's also info that says buildings 1-3 (50s) will start in August - maybe I should keep my current room request for building 1, as it may be renovated by September 11?

(And yes, I know room requests aren't guaranteed, but I've had good luck with room requests the past few years.)

I was in building 10 last week and it was all done! I believe 6 and 9 are done as well...

We got our requests and it was a great stay! :)

Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

i think we are going to ask for building 6

This is great. Canceled my reservations at Country Inn and Suites LBV b/c of bad reviews. Booked POP instead for December. Just a standard but with that resort anything is fine with us. Now I'm really looking forward to our anniversary trip.

This is making me excitied for out trip this fall. Can't wait!!!

We have one of the new rooms and really like it. Less drawer space, but with the open area we feel there is actually more overall space. A thumbs up from us.

I will be asking for this area again in August for our next trip

Hi all, I just talked to a cm about our reservation for sept and requested that we have a refurbished room. He told me that the hotel has been done and that not one room has not been refurbished:confused3does anyone know if this is correct. I questioned him and he said "yes I stayed there last wk" Hope he is right?

I was there last week and no, not all of the rooms have been completed.

Also, no offense to the CM, but why would you stay on property if you are local enough to work there?

Because sometimes the people you talk to on the Reservations line are located in Georgia, Utah, and Virginia?

I work at WDW and live about 30-40 minutes from the parks. I stay at Disney Resorts every couple months. I have already stayed at 5 resorts this year and will be at the Beach Club in just a couple weeks. I do it because I can and because I enjoy it. Since I work at the parks staying at the resorts enables me to have the Disney experience I don't get everyday.

When i grow up, i want to be you :)

I would LOVE to be able to work and live at Disney.. (yeaH i am a work-a-holic already, and i work from home now so no, it wouldn't kill me)

Unfortunately, between my age, my nationality, my tattoos, i wouldn't be Disney Material :(

Can anyone please provide an updated list of the refurb schedule (which buildings/floors are done, which are yet to be completed and when)? Thanks guys!

I stayed in a refurbished room in the 70s recently, and the room looked great.

My one complaint would be about the new bedspreads. They were SO heavy! I know that a lot of people take the bedspreads off the beds, but I like to sleep with more than just the sheet and light blanket, so I tried keeping the spread on the bed. They are so incredibly heavy and thick that it felt like it was smothering me! :) And with as bulky as they are, I can't imagine they're getting washed very often at all. I know that bedspreads probably aren't washed after every guest anyway, but these things seemed like they'll be really a challenge to wash and so I wonder how often they're laundered.

They really do look nice and are made so they fit the bed perfectly - very fitted - but because of the bulk and the way they're made, they don't even really fold up easily.

Just wondered if anyone else noticed the bulk of these new bedspreads and what others think about them.

So we were looking at the maps of POP, and SO decided she wants the 60s lakeview...

Are these popular? Would they standard or premium rooms?

....and thats the society we live in today...no climbing trees, no jumping on beds...we all did it as children and how many of us got hurt? :

actually i broke my arm jumping on a bed when i was 3 years old. very bad break too there is a pen holding my arm together. they werent even sure that it would hold and that my arm would grow to the normal size...just sayin :upsidedow

Next time just call housekeeping or leave a note asking for double or triple blankets and skip the spread.
