I stayed in a refurbished room in the 70s recently, and the room looked great.
My one complaint would be about the new bedspreads. They were SO heavy! I know that a lot of people take the bedspreads off the beds, but I like to sleep with more than just the sheet and light blanket, so I tried keeping the spread on the bed. They are so incredibly heavy and thick that it felt like it was smothering me!

And with as bulky as they are, I can't imagine they're getting washed very often at all. I know that bedspreads probably aren't washed after every guest anyway, but these things seemed like they'll be really a challenge to wash and so I wonder how often they're laundered.
They really do look nice and are made so they fit the bed perfectly - very fitted - but because of the bulk and the way they're made, they don't even really fold up easily.
Just wondered if anyone else noticed the bulk of these new bedspreads and what others think about them.
