Thanks for posting! They look great! I REALLY hope we get one of the refirbed rooms! But if not we will still be at WDW!!! :dance3:

Just arrived home last night and they were currently working on the 70's when we were there. We stayed in the Bldg 5 (5109) and was perfect location for us!

does anyone know if they have started on the 50's building yet?:cool1:

I was wondering the same thing :confused3
... the timeline was posted a couple times already ... but will repost it again for those who missed it.

Okay people....I called POP and got the scoop. This is the order of the renovations.

60s era - started but not finished and not currently renovating this era (bldgs 4, 5)
70s era - 95-100% complete (bldgs 6, 10)
80s era - 95-100% complete (bldgs 7, 9)
90s era - starting now (bldg 8)
50s era - scheduled start date August 23, scheduled end date 1st week of November (bldgs 1, 2, 3)
60s era - phase 2 - finish the 60s building to start after the 50s is complete (bldgs 4,5)

She said they are doing one floor at a time and don't start another floor until the current one is complete. Because of the summer months being so "packed" they will be slowing down for the season. (if they were packed, why so many promotions????) She said this is the "contract", but things could slow down or speed up at any time.

Thank you so much for the pictures!! I have to say the ones with you (?) in them just made me smile so BIG because seeing you 'park ready' made me feel so excited for our trip next month. I love to see people with their park bag, visor, refillable mug, etc... smiley and ready to go for a day of fun :goodvibes

No, that wasn't me...that was my girlfriend and daughter!!! We had so much fun! Happy I made you smile tho!!

I just got back from a stay in 50s building #2 in a non-refurbished room. It was still lovely! I wouldn't worry about it. :goodvibes

We have never stayed at the POP and just booked for December of this year! Its exciting to think that the rooms here might be like BRAND NEW on our trip! LOVE IT even more now:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

The time we spend there is so much fun , the rooms are nice and the food court is good. We like the store and the cast members help alot. After this year we will have stayed there around 8 weeks over the last years. This is our fav resort!:thumbsup2:cool1::surfweb:

I can't wait to go -- not until December, but at least I will know I'm getting a refurbed room!

Just returned from our best Pop vacation ever! :lovestruc We stayed in a 70s refurbished room (building 6). While we were there they were working on second floor of building 10.

We loved the beds, privacy curtain and new tv.

We just returned from our stay in 70's building 10. Originally we were given a 3rd floor room, but moved to first floor per our request. The 3rd floor was refurbished, the 1st floor was not.

While we were there, they were working on floor 2. The day we checked out (Sunday, June 13), they were beginning the first floor. Hope this helps!

Ok, just caught up - 40 pages later!!!! We're going late August and had requested 50's building, lake view facing Epcot, 4th floor, adjoining rooms. I don't mind if I get unrenovated because we were there last August and I thought the rooms were just fine. In fact, I'm very nervous with the reduction of storage space b/c I have 4 kids and I had "stuff" everywhere last time. Plus, I prefer softer beds so the talk of hard beds makes me nervous. But, my real question is the noise level from this remodeling. According to the timeline, it appears to be starting in my building (assuming I get my request) while I"m there. Is the renovation loud? is the paint smell obnoxious? Thanks!
