Hey fellow Disers,
Just booked 2 connecting rooms at the POP, but still need to request a building and floor. I am thinking 50's and top floor. Anyway, I was wondering about a few things. I read some of the POP thread, but it is so long and it didnt answer all my questions before I stopped reading. [/COLOR] 1. Can someone tell me just how big the rental fridge is? The CM on the phone said 3 feet tall, but that seems large to me.
2. Is there a coffee maker in the room or can you request one. If you can do you know if there is a charge?3. Is there much storage in the room for clothes or is it better to keep them in suitcases? We will be there 8 nights.
4. Is there a hair dryer in the room?
5. Does anyone know how much the washers and dryers are?
6. The refillable mugs in the food court- how much are they and what can you put in them? Hot and cold items?

Thanks so much to anyone who has been recently and can answer these questions. Im sure I will find many more!!

I'll give it a try and answer your questions;
1. The rental fridge is the small dorm size, maybe 2 feet tall.
2. Sorry no coffee makers in the rooms and you cannot rent them.
3. There is a large dresser that holds the TV and I think has 3 large drawers and 2 small ones. There is also a rack to hang clothes on. We usually go for 10 days and have plenty of room.
4. There now are hair dryers in every room.
5. $2.00 to wash and dry
6. Can't remeber exactly how much they were, around $12.95. You can put drinks from the soda dispenser (regular Coke products), Apple juice, frozen coke, hot chocolat, coffee, tea, I think that's about it.

Hope this helps, have a great time. Maine :firefight

Or you could pick up a cheap one before you leave home - assuming you have room to pack it and the necessary supplies - and just leave it in the room when you check out, or give it to your Mousekeeper.

Thanks for the help. What is the most that you can fit into that fridge? I am just wondering what we will be able to buy and put in there. Can you get Orange Juice in the refillable mug? I am thinking about breakfast for the kids and having it in there for the next morning. Do they offer juices all day or just in the mornings? How is the food at POP? I think we will be eating a few meals there. Does anyone know if somewhere like Pizza Hut delivers to POP? Thanks again

I think the most you could put in the fridge is about 10 cans of pop....you might be able to slide in a couple bottles of water on their sides, too.....or, you could fit 1/2 gallon of milk...and some little stuff around it...orange juice is not part of the refillable drinks for the mugs..the apple juice is there all day...the food at the food court is actually really good (my children LOVED IT)..and they have a very nice selection...try and go early in the morning...it gets very crowded during peak times....I think there is a local pizza place that will deliver...I think there was a card in the room...I do not believe it is Pizza Hut....However, the food court also will sell you a large whole pizza...I think it was around $15.00.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip :goodvibes

No, OJ is not one of the things you can get for the refill mugs. The fridges can hold a bit but nothing really tall or large. You could get bottled oj in the food court the night before, as well as a small carton of milk, and some cereal boxes. Those would fit nicely in the fridge. We did that. We also found that the food at the food court was fine. Some decent choices.
There is a phone number listed in the Pop Welcome newsletter for pizza delivery. But I don't know who it is that makes the pizza.

The refillable mugs are $12.71 including tax.

Washers are $2, dryers are $2 and a box of detergent for one load is $1.00.

The dresser/tv stand has three large drawers, three open shelves and three small drawers. We had two 20 yo's, 1 17 yo and myself and we had plenty of drawer and shelf space for our things. The rack for hanging holds a lot but if you have a lot to hang bring extra hangers as we found we needed more. There is a wire shelf over top which is good for holding things as well.

Thanks for all the help guys. Can anyone tell me their experience with their room location? I am thinking of asking for 50's or 70's building, top floor. My moms DH has bad knees so we dont want to stay too far from the bus stop, and I know we dont want to be poolside view. I know 60's are preferred and supposed to be closest, but I really dont want to pay more since I believe I have read that the other 2 buildings are also close to Classic Hall and Bus Stop. It the bus stop to one side of Classic Hall or is it right out front? THanks so much

Rather than request a particular building, why not just request "top floor, near elevator, as close to bus stop as possible"?

Do they showers have a retractable clothes line...you know the ones for hanging wet bathing suits on?

Yes there are retractable clothes lines.
As far as being close to the bus stop, the 0 bldg in the 70's bldgs are the closest. Bldg 9 in the 90's is very close also.I would mention that you have an older person who really needs to be close to the elevator in a bldg closest to the bus stop. They are really very good about trying to get you what you need.

Thanks katieeldr
I think I will go that route instead of being more specific. I will also mention about the senior member of our party needing to be close :wave2:
