Pop, Pop, Poppity-Pop! A November 2014 trip report

Yay for birthday posts!

The Merida meet and greet is so cute, I wish they all had coloring tables to help pass the time.

Can't wait to see pics from BBB!

After meeting Merida we went back up the path to go to the castle for our brunch. I noticed the moon perfectly placed over the castle and had to take a picture.

Soon we were checked in to Cinderella's Royal Table and waiting for our picture with Cinderella.
I had to get a picture of these guys....

And a picture of the girls in the beautiful castle.

They were so excited to meet Cinderella!

We got some photopass pictures with her.

Then we waited to be called and got to walk up the beautiful spiraling staircase. I just love the decor in this place!

We were seated quickly.

I love the menu!

They brought us the assorted pastries and fruit.
The girls ordered basic breakfast food and so did my parents.
I got the puffed french toast (which was really good) and Doug got some kind of lobster quiche.

Soon the princesses would start making their rounds.

Our first princess was Snow White.
She was very sweet.

Next up was Aurora. It wasn't quite as awesome as our meet last trip but she was still sweet and beautiful. Abi was pretty excited to see her again.

Next up was Ariel. She was really fun and chatty.

Then Jasmine visited. She was the most talkative of the bunch and was really fun to meet.

When we were done eating our server brought Maddy a birthday cupcake. We sang Happy birthday to her. She was pretty surprised and excited!

The thing about Maddy- she doesn't actually eat cupcakes. Just the frosting.

Then Ariel came around to tell the girls to take their wishing stars and magic wands and close their eyes to make wishes.

On the way out, Doug told the girls that last time we had been taken downstairs by a CM in a circular elevator. They wanted to see it. So we used it again.

Haha. Yep. I realized that it has been two months since we got back and realized how bad I was slacking off.
Also, deciding to use the pictures after I upload them to my blog instead of photobucket has made it so much easier. They may be huge...
But each update takes about 5-10 minutes to do instead of upwards of 30-60 minutes. So, there's that.
I am hoping to finish up her birthday tomorrow.

I really, really loved your photos from CRT. I haven't been there since 2010 and I miss it so much.

Also, it sounds like you're having dinner at 1900PF in one of your next updates. I hope I'm right because I'm sure that's going to be a lot of fun to hear about!

I just adore all your pictures.. Your DH reminds me of an actor... I just cannot put my finger on which one!!!
Ariel is a great M&G. haven't had a bad one yet! But the picture with Jasmine and your daughter posing is priceless!!

What a fun Fantasyland morning! I love the pics on the teacups, Maddy looks so happy!

Brunch sounds like it was great! Curious to know how Doug liked his choice, as it's something I would consider trying in the future!

breakfast at CRT looks pretty yummy! and I love the pic of the mice! we didn't see those when we ate there.

I really, really loved your photos from CRT. I haven't been there since 2010 and I miss it so much.

Yeah. I would recommend CRT. We have done both on both of our trips. Both for breakfast so I can't give an opinion on other meals. To be honest on our last trip we preferred Akurshus. But this trip I preferred CRT. So it might really end up being all about your server and the interactions. We honestly really enjoy both. But there is something really magical about eating in the castle.

I always have thought Doug looked like Brandon from 90210 (Jason Priestly) They did when we were younger and they seem to have aged similarly as well. He's had a few people tell him that.

After brunch we went over to Peter Pan to see if it was up and running yet. It was! So we got right on.

I was happy that both girls liked it as much as I do!
I had a fast pass for Enchanted Tales with Belle for later in the day but I had heard that you bypass a lot of Maurice's cottage if you use it so we decided to drop in and see what the wait was and if we could do it without a fastpass.
It was only about 10-15 minutes so we decided to do it!
The cottage is adorable.

The main room was full of fun memorabilia of Belle's life growing up.
(Including a painting of her and her mom) I really loved this since she is my favorite princess and I feel a real connection to her.

Then we were led into the room with the magic wardrobe. I thought this was very cool.
Abi didn't want to do any parts.
Maddy did.
And she got picked to be Chip!!

Then we got to go into the magic mirror room (amazing!) and into the library (I want this in my house!!) and met up with Lumiere. I was in heaven. More so than my kids I think.

Soon Belle joined us.

It was so much fun to watch all the little kids interact with her during this story... but I definitely LOVED watching my little Chip.

I noticed when the kids were in line to get their pictures with Belle that , of course, our little social butterfly was making a friend. They were comparing their magic bands.

And then Maddy was up for her picture and get her bookmark.

Next we went straight for the new Little Mermaid section. It was actually so much fun to be exploring this new section of Disney World. Felt like it was our first trip again with so many new things to do and see.

Doug rode with Maddy, my mom with Abi, and me with my dad.

At this point it was time to go retrieve the girls' hidden dresses from the locker. We were hoping to meet Marie by the flagpole on our way so my parents waited for us at the castle while we ran down there.
She was out but her line was closed so we told them we would meet her another day and I let the girls be silly while Doug ran to the locker.

He was soon back and we made our way back to the castle for our very special appointment.

After retrieving our things from the locker it was time for our appointment.
We met back up with my parents at the castle and checked in.
It was really crowded. My parents ended up sitting in the waiting area by the front so they didn't get to watch the transformations... which was unfortunate. But there was just no room for extra people in the boutique. It was packed.
A Fairy godmother in training took the girls back to where they would get their dresses.

We got the girls dressed in their dresses and shoes.
And went out to wait for a chair and fairy godmother-in-training.

I wished that they could have been right next to each other but they had one girl in between them. So we had to go back and forth a little bit. But at least we were able to get them both in!

Then they began on the hair. I don't know much about Abi's FG but she seemed nice. I spent most of the time over by Maddy while Doug stayed close to Abi.
Maddy's was so nice. She was really cheerful and friendly and laughed a lot.

I like how the photopass photographer caught Doug filming.

Funny face...

Maddy kept turning around to look in the mirror. Her Fairy Godmother would say, "No peeking!" and Maddy would start giggling like crazy.

Looking at Maddy's shoes in this picture- there is a kind of funny story.
The shoes were painted blue and then I glued a bunch of shimmering gems to them to make them look like glass slippers. During the entire time we were here the gems started falling off one by one.
By the time we were done there were empty spots all over her shoes and gems all over the floor.
That continued for the rest of the day as she wore them.

About to see herself...

The Reveal!
If you read about our last trip when Abi was five, you will remember that sometimes it is harder to tell what she is thinking. She may not look too excited but she was VERY excited!

Maddy is about to be turned around!
She was still trying to sneak peeks.
Silly girl!

This FACE!
It makes it all worth it.

I love this picture. The photopass photographer caught Abi watching Maddy's reveal. I kind of love that you can see her happiness more for her sister than herself.

They were given their cute backpacks with the remaining makeup and the supplies that had been used on them. Now it was time to go show Grandma and Grandpa and go to their photo shoot!

We went straight from the castle over to the photo shoot. While we were waiting Maddy found this mirror and couldn't stop looking at herself. It was the funniest thing.

I like that this one catches her cute litel face delighted with herself but also the photopass photographer that would be doing their photo shoot.

She was awesome with the girls.
She was fun and funny and they were so comfortable with her!

First she took a few pictures of them together.

Then some of Abi...

And then Maddy...

My mom and dad had told Maddy she should pick out her birthday presents while we were at Disney World so she used some of her money in this store before we left.
She picked out a cute Winnie the Pooh toy and some Cinderella polly pockets.
Before we left Maddy traded pins with this Cast Member.
He was so cool dressed up in the kids' knight dress ups.
I had to ask to take a picture of him with her!

I absolutely loved all of these updates!!!

I was thinking the same thing when I walked through New Fantasyland over the summer, it definitely feels like a brand new Magic Kingdom.

The BBB photos were absolutely precious.

Can't wait to read more!

I didn't even notice that hidden Mickey!! I had to go back and look at the pictures to see what you were talking about. I can't believe I didn't see it before. That's great!!

Since both girls were going at the same time it took just about an hour still.
