Putting the size of the rooms aside since we will spend most of our time only sleeping in the room, I am trying to decide between CSR or POP to save money. What I need is good bus service, good food court (something for everyone, lots of choices for picky eaters) and nice big fun pool. We like to swim late at night after the parks and don't like a really over crowded pool. We do like a hot tub, but I sappose we can live without it if we had to. All opinions welcome please.

We loved CSR. The pool was so fun and the slide was great. We used the hot tub only once, because it was HOT lol. My kids loved the playground.

The busses were also great. We never waited more than 10 minutes and they were rarely full. We did wait about an hour at MK at park closing. The line was HUGE and they were packing those busses like sardines. We chose to wait for a less crowded bus. We had some great drivers...Adrian was hilarious.

We liked Pepper Market too. The food was always very good.

No contest but here are the Pros & Cons

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

I've stayed at Pop and will be staying for the 1st time at CSR. Pop is a great value resort and I'm sure you would love it. But the theming (from what I've seen on Buzz's website) at CSR is wonderful and CSR is compared to a deluxe more so than the other moderates. If $ could be spent elsewhere then I'd stay at Pop but if it isn't an issue I'd go for CSR.

CSR

We stayed in both last year. Loved CSR, did not like PoP.

One of the biggest advantages is the bus system. At MK close, the CSR bus is the closest to the exit and only has about 3-5 rows. The PoP queue is the farthest from the exit and it is comprised of 2 queues of 8-10 rows each.

We like both of these resorts. As for the pools - both are huge but I think a great deciding factor would be wether or not you want a pool slide. As far as food, The Pepper Market at CSR is not like the everyday food court. It's more like a sit-down restaurant where you go up and pick out your food and then it's served to you. We liked it and ate there a couple of times but if you want a standard food court, then Pepper Market is not like that. As for the rooms, of course they are bigger. CSR has the fridge which is larger than the one you can rent at Pop. CSR also has double sinks and a curtained dressing area - much larger than Pops single sink and zero dressing area. Lastly, do you want to stay somewhere funky and fun? Then Pop is the answer. If you want a more laid back, resort feel, then CSR is for you. HTH! :earsgirl:

CSR - I can't say enough good things about that resort, pool and the Pepper Market!!! You'll love it!!! :goodvibes

I thought CSR had only a single sink. Thats what Buzz has listed as a con.

CSR has one sink, so does Pop. I don't think you could go wrong with either choice. The hot tub at CSR is great, though. There are also "quiet pools" in each section.

I stayed at Pop last year and absolutely loved it. I am going back again in August. I have never stayed at CSR, but I stayed at CBR and POFQ and it seems to me that the mods are a bit more subdued then Pop Century. Pop Century just felt more fun then the two mods I stayed at.

However, I loved every resort so far and I don't think you can really go wrong with a Disney resort.

I plan on staying at CSR next year. From the pictures I have seen it looks awesome. If a Pool is a big priority, I will go with CSR because from what I hear the pool is the biggest of all the resorts and the theming looks amazing. The pools at Pop Century are nothing to brag about, but for me they were fine. As you know they don't have slides or hot tubs, but the hippie dippie pool does have squiriting flowers.

In a nutshell, the mods are more upscale as far as theming - and the values are more whimsical. The buildings at the mods are themed to look like the area they are emulating, whereas the values are just colorful motel buildings with large icons. Pop Century is a great resort, but CSR is more upscale and more amenities. It really be unfair to put them against each other because they are not in the same resort category - so I say go with CSR.

We stayed at CSR at the end.

During our visit, we got take-out from the Pepper Market. You just tell the CM's when you order. Food was great!

Our room had only a single sink. Not a big deal, just less room for all our junk.

- since we just got back from our 1st stay at Pop- I can say for sure- CSR!
it has everything you will need for a wonderful disney vacation. :cool1:
