a word of advice....request when you want your room to be cleaned daily if you feel it's necessary. we had 2 children under 3 & planned on napping in the afternoon. on day one, i learned to call & request that the room was cleaned before 1:00....day one, the room was being cleaned around 2-2:30 so we brought the tired kids to the pool to wait, returned, kids fell asleep & around 3:30, knock at the door & before i could answer it, the housekeeper opens the door & wakes one of the kids up b/c i had to talk to her. she was embarassed & said she'd be back later so i had to say wait, for what? & she said to clean the room, i told her it had already been cleaned. after that, i knew to call & request a cleaning time to avoid such a situation.
the room was very clean & well-maintained throughout our stay - room 6460- corner room, 4th fl, lakeside in the 70s - VERY QUIET. on the first day, i called to see if we'd have the same person for our stay & to comment on how clean the room was. they coudn't find that info & told me to call back the next day... i didn't & just tipped everyday regardless of who it was. $2-$5 daily.
also, i coudn't find my eye drops, i left a note, & it was returned to the counter. i'm guessing it was knocked over either by me or the housekeeper. she found it...i was sure to thank her w/ a tip.
