Yeah, no actual lounges on property give a discount! There are ZERO discounts at Steakhouse 71 lounge compared to the restaurant.
Same with GEO 82, no discounts at all.

This is the first time I've ever been refused the VISA discount on food when eating in the lounge; there is never a problem at Steakhouse 71, Flying Fish, or Geyser Point.

With an AP there’s no discount at S71 Lounge or Geyser for food. I’ve never asked about a Disney Visa discount instead but at S71 Lounge I’ve been told a couple times they don’t do any discounts at all in the Lounge.

I’ve found a lot of times servers will ask if you have any discounts and be happy to apply them.

I’ll adjust my expectations if we eat at any lounges or certain other places.

It's also always been this way with DVC discounts. That's why if I want to eat, I generally choose the table service over the bar. I believe it's this way at NL/Tiffins. So we'll have a drink at NL and then head into Tiffins for a meal. Geyser Point doesn't have it either. I always ask before the server takes our order.
