Hi all - I just wanted to let you know that I did NOT get to leave the coffee maker for our swap. I wasn't able to get the fridge. Everytime I went to luggage services they were either closed (yes we stayed out till after 11 the first 2 nights), or they couldn't find it (when I went in the am). I did give Keri all of my info so hopefully she had the time to talk to a manager to get the fridge. I guess my mousekeeper got a bonus coffee pot as I wasn't able to bring it home either.

I have bought another coffee pot. HOPEFULLY I will be able to leave it with the fridge. If not, I will leave for with the next swapper - tiink3rbella - anyway!

Cross your fingers and send some Fairy Godmother magic our way. Nevermind that, I've got Someone Bigger watching out for us.

Just got home a few hours ago. (soooo tired!)

The fridge was waiting in the baggage services area with the previous swapper's name, but I was able to get it without any problems.

It worked perfectly. It froze our water overnight, so you might want to check the temperature, if you don't want bottles of ice.

We brought a coffee pot and left it as part of the swap. It is in a separate box (original box from the store) but is labeled to match the fridge and has the next swapper's name on it... SO, be sure to bring 2 labels with the next swapper's info on it!

We loved having it!

Let's hope we can keep up with the fridge!! I'm looking forward to using it the first week in May. Can you believe all the hoopla surrounding the fridge swaps on the budget board? Some people are seriously up in arms about it. Whatever. I'm glad we have a chance to use it.

tiink3rbella sent me a pm - she has the frig and will be checking on the coffee pot today

I will be taking along another toaster (the one from last year went MIA within a few swaps) and some type of adjustable strap.

Hopefully the toaster and coffee pot can somehow be stored inside the frig and then put the strap around the outside to keep everything secured inside with the door shut.

I will also be taping a plastic sleeve to the outside of the frig so that all you need to do is place the next swappers info inside.


Yep saw the thread about the frig swaps. I think some people are jealous because they couldn't get in on one for the dates they wanted
