Pop Century

I am also spending a week at Pop Century in December (xmas time) and very glad that someone asked about it. I had seen some negative comments here and there and was a little worried about. My thought is that you make the best of the situation and have fun.

I have read everyones thread about PC and it sounds really positive and I cant wait to go now. I did not know that you were able to see the fireworks from there, thought it would be too far away-thanks for the tip.

Again the site is the best thing ever!! I check it from work and home several times a day, dont tell my bosses, to see if there is anything new or interesting to me and I ususally find several things that I did not know or think about.

You can not see the fireworks from all of the buildings. We've stayed in 50's, 60's and 70's buildings. We heard the fireworks while in the 60's buildings and the 50's buildings but never saw them. I think you can only see them from 50's 4 floor overlooking parking lot. A friend was able to and this is where she saw them from.

I was pleasantly surprised to see what I believe are the Pleasure Island/ NYE fireworks at midnight across Hourglass Lake. We had just walked out to the pool from the main building and the explosions began. I watched as I walked past the pool and toward the lake. I had heard about the views of the Epcot fireworks, but didn't realize we'd accidentally catch the midnight show from Downtown.

We saw fireworks in April near the Goofy jumping water thing. We were walking back to the 70s building from the foodcourt. I was shocked and surprised to see them.

I didn't check the time so I'm not sure if they were from Illuminations or Fantasmic.
