I just got back today from a six night stay at Pop Century. We were in the 80's building on the 4th floor overlooking the Laptop Pool. We had a great time. The temperature of the room was always fine, if a bit cool, and not warm like other posters have experienced. It was always cleaned well by mousekeeping daily. The cast were very helpful and friendly. I definitely liked Everything Pop and would choose Pop over the All Stars hands down. I am not a huge fan of taking Disney busses everywhere, but the experience wasn't too bad. We did have to stand a lot, though, but this is to be expected at a Value Resort! Overall, we loved Pop and would stay there again in a minute. Send any questions my way!

I am glad that you had a great time! How was the walk from the 80's building to the classic hall? 4th floor? Did you take the stairs or walk? We are going in May and are so excited. There are six of us and we are getting 2 connecting rooms. Were you able to get what you requested-when you checked in or were there no special requests?

We are trying to get 70's-due to Visa rate-we had to go from preferred to standard-and are wanting to make sure that we get close to what we want. Let me know!

Are there elevators in the buildings, or do you have to hike up 3 flights of stairs?

When were the buses the most crowded? Did they send extra buses when it got busy?

We just booked a 5 night stay for August, against hubby's wants (he doesn't like to switch resorts during our vacation, but we can't afford AKL for 11 nights, only 6) and I'm hoping to make it enjoyable for him. I don't want to have to deal with a grumpy hubby!

Yes, there are elevators in each building. There are also stairs located by the elevator and at the ends of the buildings. We took both, depending on if other people were waiting for an elevator (which was pretty rare).

The walk to Classics Hall isn't too bad. It probably took about 2-3 minutes to get there if walking briskly. I was a little disoriented the first few hours I was there, so it took longer. Once you understand how the resort is laid out, you'll find the shortcuts to the hall. But I wouldn't consider the walk to be bad. The 70's building is closer.

I didn't put in a room preference in advance. However, when I checked in at 12:30pm, rooms were ready, and I had my choice between 50's, 70's, and 80's. I asked for 80's at that time and that is what I got.

The buses leaving from Pop were definitely the most busy around park opening. A few days we waited until around 11 or 12 to go to the park, and we always had a seat at those times. I never had to wait very long for any bus, even if I couldn't get on the first one due to too many people. The longest we ever waited was probably 10 minutes tops. We never stayed at a park until close, so we always almost had the busses to ourselves on the way back to the resort.

Hope this helped!! :D

Kuzco, that's exactly what I needed to know! Thank you so much for the quick response, too! :)

Glad to hear you gave Pop Century the thumbs up! We're headed there in 2 weeks.

We're having a difficult time deciding which building we would like to request. We're thinking the 70's as I understand they are close to goofy's water jets. Our boys really would like to play in them. How is the walk from the 70's to the bus stops?

Thanks!

Not bad at all for distance from 70's to the bus stops. However, I'd say that all of the buildings aren't too bad of a walk from the buses. It really depends on where in the buildings you are for the distance, if that makes any sense. Quite frankly, although it is a large resort, the walks never seemed bad at all!
