Hi all,
Can anyone tell me, have the accessible rooms at Pop been redone to include the 2 beds instead of the king like at All Stars?

TIA:)

We stayed at POP in September. We had requested a king-bed room, and when we checked in, the CM told us we would be put into a handicapped accessible room with a king bed. According to her, all the HA rooms were king sized beds.

HTH :)

We stayed in a Pop HC accessible room with two beds. There was a tub, not a roll-in shower. The tub area did have grab bars, a bath bench, and a hand-held shower.

The toilet was raised, also with bars surrounding it.

The rest of the room was the same as the regular rooms. Only the bathroom area had been changed.

This is what I have reserved for my parents.

The CM that told me "all king beds" must have been confused - imagine that! :headache: Sorry about the wrong info, OP! :flower3:

Thanks everyone for the info. We have a child in a wheelchair, but we must have a tub! The room with the two beds AND a tub sounds great. Does that room have a roll under sink? That would be the perfect setup for us. And can you specifically book that room?

Thanks again for all the help:goodvibes

When you call to make your reservation you'll be put on hold while the agent contacts the Special Services department to block the room you need. This way you are guaranteed the accessible room with a tub/rails. I'm not sure about Pop Century but during the recent renovation at the All Stars they replaced the round table with a concave oval one that you can roll under with a wheelchair. There were still two chairs but it was now accessible and IMO this was a very nice feature. Maybe someone here will know about the sink or you can ask this question when you reserve your room.

Was she saying that all HC rooms were Kings or that all King rooms were HC? There are also different levels of HC rooms - perhaps she was thinking only of those with roll-in showers?

Or she could have just been totally wrong!

We had originally booked a king room, non-HA. When we arrived, the CM told us the only king rooms available were HA with the roll in shower and was this okay. We said yes, then asked if all the HA accessible rooms had king beds, out of curiosity. She said yes, they were all king-sized beds in the HA rooms.

So obviously she was confused ... or new ... or just wrong! LOL :lmao:
