I know I read on here somewhere but can't find.............

When u chk in they have to put a cc on hold for the room? My ? Is- do they pre charge a certain amount when u chk in? I thought I had read it was $200 because the poster said she couldn't use her card the rest of trip because she only had a certain limit.

I ask because I will b using my debit card if they let me ( chase Disney debit Visa card) and there will only b a certain amount.

If someone knows of this please enlighten me!

Thx a bunch ( will b at POP nov 12!)

If your talking about when you checkin to your resort you do not have to put a cc on file when checking into the resort its an option but if you don't you cannot use your room key to charge which is fine w me ! I rather use my cc myself ;) I'm not aware of any limits but I never charged to my room either but maybe they used a debit card attached to a bank account and not an actual credit card ? And that is why ? If your talking about booking a bounceback there is a deposit of $200 required to book the bounceback . I'm not sure what your referring to but I hope this helped .

I called when I got in the room to request bed rails and a pack n play. When I was on the phone with housekeeping I noticed a pile of dirt on the bedspread - had definitely gotten there after the bed was last made. So I mentioned it and he made a note for it to be changed. Housekeeping just delivered two BRAND NEW comforters straight from the packaging. I'm so excited to not have used comforters! (Same exact design as the old ones)

I hear ya ! We love Halloween but with DS in his first yr of High School its just not an option for us :(

My DD just started middle school.....but its early on so I think she'll be ok. Plus her teacher is sending school work home and whatever she can't send home she'll help her with when she gets back. Theyre being really good about it.

You can have some of our cold. :)

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

I don't want the cold but if its cold I can pack our summer stuff for our October trip. I've already got our park bag packed but I really want to pack our suitcases lol

Just got a voicemail today from Southwest informing us our return flight home(Oct 25) has been canceled and they would be putting us on the nearest available flight. Of course, the new flight has us departing 3-1/2 hours from Disney. No!! So instead of a 3pm pickup time from ME, we will be picked up at Noon. Yuk!

So I get on the phone with SW and ask if they could please put us on an earlier flight going down, since we were losing 3 hours at Disney. Surprisingly, they did! We now arrive at 1:30pm instead of 7:30pm. Yay!! Best part is, the new flight down cost 3x what I paid for the original flight, and I didn't have to pay the difference. Although we no longer have a direct flight, I love that we can have half a day at Disney the day we arrive. Our departure day we're always exhausted and crabby/sad, so the change is actually a good thing.

Just decided were going to use garden grocer for breakfast food the week were at POP. I priced what breakfast would cost us for the week and I don't want to pay that much. We have QSDP but we plan on using that for lunch and dinner. We'll buy breakfast some mornings but not all.

I used my debit card when I checked in last Nov because I pay cash for everything. I don't believe they charged anything until after checkout and even then it was broken up into a couple of different payments with most of it hitting the week after I checked out. I was surprised it didn't hit my account until after check out.

I always pack a bunch of cereal bars, oatmeal, cookies and crackers for breakfast in the room and snacks during the day. Saves TONS of money and doesn't waste dining credits on breakfast which isn't a good financial use of them.

Wr priced breakfast for the week and it'll cost us about $300 for 4 of us....that's cutting into valuable souvenir money lol. We figured we can order breakfast food plus booze, of course, for about $50-$60. That's a whole lot less....I'd rather use our dining credits for lunch and dinner.

That's what we always do! :) We order little boxes of cereal, breakfast bars, and some yogurt. We never order milk from GG though because we always choose milk with our quick service meals at Pop and this is what we save and use for cereal in the morning. Works great! :thumbsup2

We will be checking in for our first visit 2 weeks from today! We have 3 preferred rooms at Pop and I am the point person for it all. Grandparents would like to request rooms that are quiet--not near elevators, ice machines, pools, etc and we all want to stick fairly close together. We don't need rooms next door to each other but nearby is good. Anyone have suggestions on what kind of room location we should ask for? Or can I just give them our descriptions of what we would like? Getting so excited here....

You don't have to put a credit card on the room. I have been going to WDW twice a year since 2007 and have only put a CC on the room once. You won't be able to charge anything to your room key but that has never been a problem for me

I wish we could go twice a year :)...we went last year in March and we're going in October this year. After that, I have no idea when we'll go back.....hopefully within the next couple of years.

I always feel bad when people find out how many times I go a year. I justify it by working at the parks seasonally but before I got the job I went just as much.

Oh well there you go....I'm hoping when we move down there in about 3 yrs I can get a job there too. Ill work selling souvenirs, I don't care. I would just love to work for Disney. My DH is a cop now, he'd love to retire and work security for Disney.
