In 12 days at exactly this moment I will be sitting at the Petals pool bar having a cocktail before I head out for some WDW fun! :hyper:

I'm bummed about no more mom's night out. I'm hoping the sloppy joes can fill the void. 4 more days!!!

Meetup for the week of Sept 21-28th

Who's in? Who would come? What day/time would be good for folks? I know most of us have put in a fair bit of planning... ;)

Heather and Brian - any time except the day of the 22nd

We can make late at Petals Bar Sat 21
Morning is good for Sun 22 having a pool morning while DH golfs
Mon 23 - drinks late at Petals could work
Morning/early afternoon as Tue 24 heading to MNSSHP later in the day
Wed 25 morning works DH is golfing again
Thu evening should be around the resort

We are...Judi, Steve & Sister Sharon, we two ladies look like twins, short blonde pixie hair and have London, England accents, hubby will be the one in the golf attire!

Don't forget to pack a few colder weather things just in case it gets cool in the evenings. It's not common, but it does happen. I learned my lesson after having to spend about $60 on a gift shop sweatshirt that would have been no more than $15 anywhere else

I'm planning on buying a sweatshirt anyway. I bought a zippered sweat jacket last year. I want to buy a hoodie this year. If it gets cold, that'll give me a hood excuse to do so lol Plus we'll probably have a sweatshirt of some kind anyway with us. We're leaving from Pa, veeery early in the morning so it'll be cool.

What kind of fun drinks does Petals serve??

Somebody posted on here yesterday or Friday that she's there now and she has a new fridge. So hopefully POP has new refrigerators in all there rooms...

Oh I hope so! REALLY hope so! We've always stayed offsite once a year but are squeezing in a mini trip in Nov this year to see the Christmas decorations and to go when some family are going. Decided this mini trip would be our chance to try onsite with FD but we really like having a fridge/kitchen in our resorts. Hoping all the rooms have a fridge by the time we get there on the 20th.

::yes::

I'm sitting here at my moms nursing home checking the boards....boy I could o for an ice cold margarita about now. :thumbsup2

Nov. 13th can not come soon enough for my solo trip to Disney!!!!! Woohoo party time

The do have 2 specialty drinks that you can only get at Petals,
the Lava Lamp and the Hula Hoop, but neither of these have had good reviews.
So I will stick with the Mai Tai ;)

I hope you get a fridge. We won't ever stay off-site again. Just too many advantages of staying on-site for us. Christmas is lovely....I enjoy the Osborne Family Christmas lights at Hollywood Studios. A couple of years ago we were there for the first night when the Osborne lights were turned on, it was magical!

Flight was delayed but just boarded magical express with magic bands, piece of cake!

Anyone there right now that can give a status update on the fridges? Checking in on Thursday would love to have one :goodvibes

Was just at Pop 8/31-9/2. We did not have a fridge. I asked at check in about my $15 a day credit and she did not want to give it to me. The CM insisted they were only doing this at the beginning of the problem. I told her that I received no letter from Disney informing me of the inconvenience and that my TA told me I would get the credit. CM finally gave it to me but was no happy about doing so.
