This response might already be on here, but I'm just reading your post. DAAR floor numbers are 5 (1st), 6 (2nd), 7 (3rd), and 8 (4th).

This is the first time I've seen Art of Animation's abbreviation as DAAR (Disney's Art of Animation Resort?) Seems like the DIS has settled on AoA.

Hey everyone!! Only 10 more days until we are at POP!! Can anyone tell me if they sale the photo autograph books at the Pop gift shop? They have them on Amazon for 18.00 I was not sure if I should grab 2 off there or if I could just buy them at Pop thanks everyone!!'

They will have the autograph books at Pop and all over the place at the parks. You can actually get the official ones from disneystore.com for $7.95, which I think is about the same price as on property.

I've been watching availability for Pop during our dates (Oct 19-25). Last week, there were rooms available at ALL room categories (rack rate, not FD rooms). Today, there's NOTHING available. I even tried availability for 1 of those nights (Sunday) and still nothing. I was hoping the resort wouldn't be packed but if there truly are no rooms available, it's going to be nuts, right?

Whenever disneyworld.com is showing no availability for rack rates, especially for an entire resort like Pop Century, it usually means there is a web site issue or update going on. Try again later.

Not sure if this is taboo to ask and if it is I apologize and just skip right past this post..... but, I was wondering for those that have stayed in the month of August and currently now for September, what did you pay per night for those that didn't opt for the free dining plan. I am asking because I saw a lady post on another forum that she's gotten a value room in August for around $57/night. I would love that for next year!! This time around and it's our first time at a Disney hotel, we paid about $80/night for Pop by going thru Travelocity.

Just curious to see realistic good deals that people got. Will also post this in budget board.

Well, I'm one of the people who switched to Pop to get MBs. We stayed at Pop in 2010 and I loved it, but ASMu was slightly cheaper when I booked (pre fall discounts) but today I gave in and switched to Pop. It was only $18 more, and now we've got MBs. We're only there two nights, tho, 10/22 and 10/21. I could have gotten standard, standard pool view, preferred or preferred pool view.

The bounceback is for FD for Aug. 20-sept. 29, 2014. The bounceback expires Nov 15, 2013.

That sounds like she got a room with a CM discount of some sort....
Honestly $80 a night is a pretty good rate for POP for the 'average person' (meaning you're not getting a cast member discount....those are the steepest discounts!)
$57 is really quite cheap and I would bet $$$ there is a CM discount attached to that rate somehow.
The cheapest I have gotten a room at POP this year was for $48 a night and that was with a 60% off CM discount. So that is how I am coming up with my opinion.
I would be happy with the $80 rate. That's a pretty good deal! Enjoy!

Does anyone know if you can request to have magic bands at check in? I'm not sure if it's because I'm Canadian and they aren't shipping over here but I was not offered. I did book with CAA. Don't know if that matters or not.

Pretty sure they are cheaper at Disney but look em up on the Disney store to be sure. I know they are at AoA gift shop. Not sure bout Pop

One year on a trip to Disneyland my daughters spent months drawing each character they wanted to meet and put them in a binder. They then had the characters autograph them.

The characters loved looking at thier picture. The best one was when Mini took my daughter over to a large bench and she sat down next to my daughter and they looked through the whole book. My daughter still talks about that and it was a good 5 years ago.

jpessa is right, just link your reservation with MDE and you should be able to set it up. I book through CAA all the time good choice, the little discount perks come in handy.

They will have your bands at the POP waiting for you.

I already have my resort reservations this year, but I thought that I would compare last weeks costs versus this weeks costs with the addition of WDW Annual Pass discounts.

I was surprised when the WDW Annual Pass came out today and compared it to last week's Orbitz costs. I never realized that Orbitz could beat a WDW discount a week before the WDW Annual Pass Discount came out.

But today, the WDW discount beat Orbitz by $11.80.

I might add that I think that WDW and Orbitz changed their nightly raises from last week, compared to today without any discounts.

I hope I remember this next year about Orbitz.

I also noticed that Orbitz had more availability than WDW on certain days. Some DIS folks think it may be a WDW computer glitch.
