Yes, just make sure you have your MB or KTTW with you.

From post #5 of this thread.

Washers/dryers are available in the poolside bathroom buildings located in the 50s, 60s, and 90s. These are coin operated and are available 24 hours; however, a room key is required for access after 9:00 pm (there are change machines in the bldg).

Laundry products are available for purchase in vending machines and also Everything Pop.
$2 each for the washer and approximately a 20 minute dryer cycle
No seating available in laundry bldg.

DOH! :headache: Sorry, I apparently skimmed right past it

Hi, POP friends. Been working for ages on planning our park days :surfweb: for our upcoming January trip. It's not easy planning for 7 people... including my 78 year old dad, plus a 10 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. :scared: But somehow it all came to me today and with the help of EasyWDW cheat sheets, I now have not only our days planned out, but our FP+ selections, too! Now I'm wondering how the testing will play out and if the changes (tiering) at EPCOT will spread to other parks, as I am sure they will. It will throw a wrench in my plans for sure at DHS, but we'll manage somehow!

Anyhow, I just wanted to talk about Disney to people who "get" my planning. ;) Hope you are all having a fantastic POP kinda day. I'm feeling the POP spirit today. :hippie: 75 days to go!

Now to think on window decorations!

Good luck! Don't worry too much about the FP+ thing. As long as you arrive somewhat early, you can get on any attractions that are headliners without much wait, especially in Jan. Then you can use your FP+ selections later when it's crowded - just make sure you change your FP+ times to afternoon/evening (don't waste them on the morning hours when it's not too crowded yet).

Thanks!! I'm mostly worried about the tiering at DHS on our arrival day. We won't get to the park until 5pm or so, and I really just wanted FP+ for Toy Story Mania and Rock n Roller Coaster (and Fantasmic). If they tier rides at DHS, I'm positive TSM and RnRC will be separated. Bummer!

Does anyone know if Pop has started to put up its holiday decorations yet? Also with all the changes with RFID and the new coffee, is there still a hot water dispenser available?

We're 25 days out now!! The suitcases are out and I started packing our window decorations. So excited!!! :santa:

We are here now, and there are no Christmas decorations up yet. There are still the giant coffee urns and the hot water dispensers. From what I can tell, the coffee area is not hooked up to the RFID system yet.

We had FP+ set up for Epcot before the tiering and it was in effect if I wanted to make any changes. So I just let it be and kept my FP+ for both Test Track and Soarin'. So if you are worried about DHS doing some tiering, my recommendation would be to get your FP+ choices into MDE and let it be.

Have fun!!!

Just to clarify, I meant there are no Christmas decorations up at Pop. MK will be all decked out starting today for the Very Merry Christmas Party.

Hi -- We are coming to POP on the 20th and I have a question about bringing my kids trading pins with us. We will arrive in the early afternoon and head to the parks and my kids want to have their trading pins with them. Can these be put in carry-on luggage or are the pins on the list of things that TSA will confiscate? I hate to put them in the checked bags as then they won't have them the first day, but don't want to risk losing them at security in the airport. Anyone had experience with this? Thanks. Nancy

When we flew in 2010 we carried pins on. I surprised the kids with pins to sort on the plane.

I brought a bunch of similar pins through security once and I just made sure to put them in a clear ziploc and put them in the bin with my shoes through the x-ray. No problems whatsoever.

The only time I ever had a problem with pins in a carry on was when I had one of the giant pin bags with the shoulder strap crammed into my backpack with a ton of wires and cables and chargers for all my electronics. I'm sure it looked horrid on the x-ray. All they did was unpack it and x-ray the pins separately. I got it back and was allowed to take it on the plane.

We just returned this past Sunday and I was able to bring the kids pins in my carry on bag home with us. No issues.

Boo hoo....still to many days to wait...jealous of all of you heading down now...I could use a dose of Disney magic right now.

Have a safe and fun trip.

Right, the RFID system is tied to the soda machines. Coffee and other dispensers (iced tea, hot chocolate) are unchanged...for now anyway.

Thanks everyone for the responses about flying with the trading pins. Sounds like we will be OK with them! Now, if someone could get accuweather to improve the forecase for the 20th-26th that would be great! :)

You are at a bigger risk of them "disappearing" from your checked luggage! Don't ever put pins in your checked luggage...many people report theirs have gone missing from there. :(

I take TONS of pins with me in my carry-on. BWI ends up opening my bag and looking at them but it is just because of the sheer number of them that I take! They look, smile, zip the bag up, hand it over to me, and I'm on my way! MCO is very used to seeing pins in carry-on bags. You will be fine. Have a great trip!

We just got back from POP on the 2nd and my daughter had all 3 of her lanyards with pins in her carry on. She was rearranging them while we were flying home. So you'll be fine of you put them in your carry on. Have Fun!!
