Pop Century to Polynesian

We are scheduled to arrive late afternoon on a Tuesday, and have early evening dinner reservations for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. I don't want to start our trip off with a frantic rush. Is it possible to go from the Pop Century to the Polynesian via Disney bus? If so, what is the route and how much time should we allow? If this is impractical, is it possible to take a cab? Any information about the time and cost involved would be very much appreciated!

Can be done with Disney transportation but no easy way. Bus to MK then Monorail or boat to Polynesian. I would give yourself over an hour. Those Pop buses can fill fast and you might have to wait. I would think about a cab.

Thanks so much GoJoe for taking the time to respond. Would you know if cabs are readily available at Pop Century?

Don’t save room for desert! The chocolate lava volcano desert is awful. Everything else is very good.

Yep...there should be a cab hanging out there. If not, they can call one for you.

And how, exactly, is this relevant to transportation??

I'd be concerned with a non-refundable dinner on arrival day. There are so many delays that can happen at each point in your trip and if you don't make it in time then you'll be out the cost of the show and that show isn't cheap. You say you arrive early afternoon and that you have an early evening reservation. Is that flight arrival time or estimated arrival time at your resort? Are you allowing for traffic to your resort? Are you allowing for airline delays resulting in getting to the airport later than expected? Are you allowing at least an hour (better to allow 1.5 hours to be safe) to get from resort to resort using the internal Disney transportation? You're setting yourself up for a VERY frantic and possibly anxiety riddled arrival with the potential of being out the cost of the show and not actually making there in time. Personally, I wouldn't want to start my vacation like this. I would strongly urge you to try to reschedule Spirit of Aloha for another night if at all possible.

The other Gentleman answered his question. I was trying to give him some advice from my experience at the dinner show.

And I get that...but this isn't the 'Restaurant Board'...so let's not get into dining reviews here. Sure don't want to go down that road.....things get too stirred up.
