Hey all! We're baaacckkk! Plane was late coming in last night and we didn't get home until midnight, so we are really tired from our commando weekend, but i did want to get my info up.
we checked in friday night about 8:45. Melissa was our CM, and was very nice and helpful. There were people around in lobby, but we walked right up to desk. Check in was quick, checked in, with park tickets in about 10 min. We went right to our room to unload luggage. We had preferred room, Room 4121, building A, 60's. Our party was 4 people: me, my 6 yo DD, my neighbor and her mother. Her mother has had double knee replacements, so is considered handicapped as she can not walk long distances. We had called Luggage Services earlier in the day, and Jason held a wheel chair for us. Very nice and helpful, he was!! Kudos, Jason. We had picked up the wheelchair before going to the room, so we went out to find we where on the first floor. It was a walk of a minute and a half from Classic hall to our room. We were on the back side of the building almost halfway down to where the wing juts out. Our view was of the 50's buildings. The room was clean and neat. We have never stayed at a Value resort, so were a little nervous about what to expect. Yes, the rooms were small, even more so because we had the wheelchair. But we managed quite well with 4 of us. The beds were quite comfortable, but the pillows were very large as other posters have commented. We put in our wake up call every night, and got it every morning on time. After unloading, we went to food court to get a bite to eat. Even at 9:30 the food court was hopping with people, but there was still plenty of seating. The check out lines seemed long and didn't always move quickly. We ate several times at the food court, and I will post dining reviews later.
There always did seem to be lots of people around, with many, many kids, but things moved well. The pools were being used at all hours, and the water felt very warm.
The buses were running smoothly, and the longest wait was about 10 minutes. Because we were a handicapped party with a wheel chair, we usually got on first, which was nice sometimes!!
One thing I really didn't like was after getting off the buses, the first entry into Classic Hall was through the store, and irt was like weaving yur way through a maze to get out. Just a few more steps away was a set of doors that went right in, but when it was raining, you always went to the first door. Nothing that can really be done about that, just an observation!!
Mousekeeping was fine. Nothing fancy. The first morning, the pillows were plumped and bedspread turned down. Fancy toothbrush holder made from washcloth. But by the time we left, there was a small pile of dust, hair and fuzz behind the bathroom door!! I don't know how often the floor gets swept, but I did notice it. (Probably more than it gets swept at home!!!)
We left a tip each day, and really had no major complaints.
Check out was smooth also, we checked out and put our luggage in storage. I forget the girls name, but she was a very nice girl with a brace on her arm. She waited on us for drop off and pick up. very friendly.
all in all, we had a very nice stay. I'm not sure how things will hold up with the mass of visitors, but we'll see. We probably will not go back there again, simply because there are so many other resorts we have never stayed in, and would like to hit them all. Is it a good value for the money, probably. If you go to do the parks, then yes. If you like to spend time at the resort, I think it would get boring quickly. If you like a quiet, laid-back resort, this is not the place. There were several times when we stopped by the food court at night to get a snack and drink, and just wanted to sit and relax. But the noise levels and the music playing never gave you that impression.
The CM all seemed very nice and friendly. We talked to quite a few who just stopped to chat and ask questions. definately made you feel at home.
We really did have a nice trip, and can't wait to go back to the world. We were not disappointed in the resort at all!
Any other questions???????

I guess it can be good for a morning wake up call LOL! So is it like this at PC? Just curious.
What bothered me was the young children (6, 7, 8,) refilling mugs, really making a mess, with no adult supervision. They would spill things and just leave it, or take up lots of space with many people waiting to get to the soda station. Another pet peeve
